~Ava~
Ava was still reeling from the discovery of what had actually happened in the mall. She tried not to dwell on it as she leaned her hip against the sink, waiting for Bea to get out all the necessary medical equipment for her back.
The whole situation made her feel helpless, Ava hated feeling helpless. It reminded her of all those years in the orphanage.
The sister warrior snapped her out of her depressing thoughts, "Okay I'm ready."
Bea was looking at her expectantly after thoroughly washing her hands and wrists. All of a sudden Ava realized something that was about to make this experience extremely awkward.
"Ah cool, shirt on or off?" Ava trying to appear nonchalant, mind racing for a solution.
"Off please." Bea flushed, but her voice remained even and professional.
The Halo bearer groaned inwardly, better bite the bullet, "Okay, you ah…you know I'm not wearing anything underneath it right?"
Ava watched the blush increase substantially on Bea's face; she could feel her own face beginning to redden as well."That's okay." Bea's voice was at least two octaves higher at this point.
Ava nodded, swallowing thickly before turning away from the sister warrior and removing her shirt, grimacing as she peeled it from the dried blood over the scar.
In the mirror, Ava watched Bea's face, her eyes were wide and sympathetic as she examined the Halo bearer’s back.
"Oh Ava." She said softly."That good huh?" Ava replied sarcastically.
Bea raised her hand with the wet cloth in it, she paused just before making contact, glancing up into Ava's eyes in the mirror, asking permission. Ava gave her an almost imperceptible nod. The sister warrior began to carefully dab around the wound, cleaning off the dried blood. The silence stretched; Ava could feel every little movement of Bea's hands on her skin. She tried to catch her eye in the mirror, but the sister warrior was single minded.
When Bea finally brushed the scar itself, Ava gasped; the sensation was like a bolt of lightning through her central nervous system. She gripped the edge of the sink tightly, knuckles whitening with the strength of her grasp.
"Are you alright?" Bea questioned, immediately removing her hand.
"Yeah, it just feels different when you touch the scar. Not bad, just more sensitive." Ava panted, trying to get her heart rate under control.
Bea nodded and went back to cleaning, being extra careful over the scar. It only took a couple of minutes to finish disinfecting the wound. The sister warrior then placed a large wound pad over the entire scar, sticking it down with some tape. Ava shivered as her deft fingers smoothed the tape over her shoulder blades.
Ava was about to move to put her shirt back on when she felt fingertips graze across her lower back and up her ribcage. Getting teasingly close to her left breast, the Halo bearer inhaled sharply. Bea pressed her lips gently to her spine at the nape of her neck.
"Beeeeeaaaaaa." Ava whined, leaning her head back as the sister warrior continued to stroke her fingers along Ava's ribs and drag her lips over the top of her shoulder, leaving a trail of heat in her wake.
The taller woman hummed into the tendons standing taught on Ava's neck, nipping lightly. Ava couldn't help the moan that slipped from her mouth. Reaching back, she guided Bea's face to her own, kissing her heatedly, before twisting so they were face to face.
Bea froze, seeming to just remember now that the Halo bearer was naked from the waist up.
"Is this okay?" Breathed Ava, watching as Bea's eyes never strayed below her neck.
Bea took a moment, searching Ava's face before surging forwards to capture her mouth again. Ava carded her own hands through the other woman's hair, scratching lightly across her scalp. The taller woman tilted her head to deepen the kiss, their tongues fighting for dominance. The fervor with which Bea kissed her drew another moan from Ava.
The sister warrior's hands drifted down over her hips, nails scratching lightly at the top of her thighs. Heat pooling in her gut, Ava gasped as Bea suddenly gripped the back of her thighs, lifting her up onto the bathroom cabinet. Bea stepped between her legs, pressing into the Halo bearer firmly. Ava wrapped her arms around Bea's neck sucking the sister warrior’s lip between her teeth. Bea growled softly, the noise sending a pang of arousal straight to Ava's core.
Oh. My. God.
Bea began to trail her kisses lower, reaching Ava's pulse point and sucking a mark into her pale skin.
"Fuck."
"Language. "Ava could feel Bea's smile against her skin.
When the sister warrior's mouth reached her collarbone, she halted, pulling back slightly.
Breathing raggedly, Ava brought her hand up to cup Bea's cheek, "You don't have to do anything you don't want to."The taller woman's pupils were blown out with arousal, but Ava could see a hint of doubt.
"Bea. We don't have to rush this; I want you to be completely comfortable with everything we do."
"I want this. I want you." Bea's voice was rough but filled with quiet determination.
That was enough for Ava who closed the distance to give the sister warrior another searing kiss, her hands running up Bea's toned arms, tracing the muscle she found there. Bea made a small noise at the back of her throat, melting into her. Ava felt hands, which had been stationary on the Halo bearer's thighs, begin to travel up her body, fingernails tracing Ava's toned stomach muscle before pausing at the bottom of her ribcage. Ava pulled away and Bea met her eyes, a silent question present in them. Ava nodded and sighed as calloused hands travelled up to gently cup her chest.
While Bea explored, Ava lost herself to the pleasure, stretching her head back to rest against the bathroom mirror and arching her back to push herself into the sister warrior’s hands. Bea ran her tongue down the column of her throat.
"Ava?" Bea's tone sobered her up immediately.
"The Halo is glowing."
Ava groaned, turning to look in the mirror, unmistakable golden light spilling from the edges of the bandage.
Fuck's sake.
Bea basically dragged herself away from Ava, who whimpered at the loss of contact. The taller woman's face was flushed, her lips bruised and swollen, her pupils still so blown out they were almost black. Ava pouted, feeling Bea's absence keenly.
"We shouldn't. Not until we train you to control the Halo." Beatrice shook her head, she seemed to be trying to convince herself as well as Ava.
"Fine." Ava groaned, pulling her shirt back on and sliding off the cabinet.
"But I want to do that again asap. When can we start training?"
