Early A/N: I'm currently working on the first episode of season 2 currently so here is a nice little flashback filler for you guys. There will be angst if you squint hard enough, fluff also remember Fives and Widow are essentially Star Crossed Lovers in this story.

"Alright everyone, get some rest." Hunter orders while walking around to Echo and Tech "It's been a long day" he finishes with a sigh, Widow couldn't help herself when she tries to object and before she could even get the words out Hunter cut her off "No arguing, especially from you Lib" he says softly walking over to her, placing his hands on either side of her face and kissing her forehead "Please" he whispers, his lips gently pressed against her head as he spoke softly to her. With a soft sigh Widow nods her head yes to show she agrees to his order, Hunters lips give her a final press on her forehead before he walks back over to talk to Tech and Echo to discuss something in a low tone that even Widow couldn't hear them. With a glance back to the trio Widow makes her way over her make shift pallet on the Havocc and lays down to hopefully get some rest.

**Flashback**

The sense of relief flowed through Widow when she made her way to the hangers in Coruscant to greet her friends of the 212th and 501st, her hurried feet carried her over to where her Captain and former Commander were chatting at. She heard rumors of the Jedi Knight Krell being executed on Umbra, the now Former General requested only clones for that mission which stuck odd with her, but she didn't question it. She wasn't sure if she believed the rumors but that was up until she saw Dogma walking away in cuffs by Commander Fox himself, which stopped her in her tracks. "What the hell?" Widow whispers to herself "I assume word traveled fast" Rex comes up next to her, placing a hand on her shoulder to guide her to look around to face him and Cody. "No offense but you guys look like kriff" trying to make light of the what seems to be a tense moment, a soft smile on her lips making both of the men before her return the smile with the hint of sadness laced in their eyes.

"The campaign didn't go as we planned" Rex speaks up "General Krell felt that clones were just there to be in the way..." he trails off "He sent both the 501st and the 212th on a wild bantha chase, neither Cody nor myself knew at the time, he told us the enemy had taken clone armor to make us think they were clones." Rexs takes a deep sigh as he closes his eyes, his grip on his helmet tightened "When he ordered for us to take out the disguised enemy we later discovered that they were clones." Rex was able to finally get out as he looked away from Widow with his eyes closed, Cody puts a firm hand on Rex's shoulder "We lost Waxer during that battle" Cody spoke up quietly looking at Widow. She takes a deep breath as she nods her head for them to follow her so she can hug them in a more discrete location, before she could walk off Rex grabs her wrist making her stop her movement and look into the Captains eyes "There's more... It's Fives" her eyes slightly widen at the words, her heart dropped. Her reaction didn't go unnoticed by Rex "He's fine, him and a few others decided to come up with a way to infiltrate the Umbrians base, Hardcase sacrificed himself so that way the others could make it out shortly" Rex closes his eyes once more "They did it against General Krells orders, he placed Jesse and Fives up for execution by their own brothers." he chuckles softly "Fives being him managed to get everyone to listen to reason, but hes pretty shaken up" Rex leans down to whisper in her ear as he releases his grip on her wrist "He needs you Lib, we'll be fine" with that he leans back up letting Widow gather her thoughts, before she heads off she turns to both Cody and Rex "I'm so sorry for your losses"

Widow knew exactly where fives would be as she made her way to the apartment she resides in, she enters in her key code to open the door for her, upon walking in she notices that her kitchen area is clear, walking further in she notices her living area is empty as well but there are traces of discarded armor making a pathway to her room. She smiles softly while following the trail, removing her own weapons while she walks and letting them drop on the floor making her own cluttered trail to her room. Once she approaches the doorway she leans her body on it to be greeted with an empty bed, she can now hear the shower from her refresher on. Walking over to the refresher with not a care in the world that she would walk in on Fives in the shower, but when she walked in the shower was running with a body that was still covered in his blacks and the water is just pouring over the figure that is sitting in the floor of the shower.
