Widows

The members of Clone Force 99 follow Jamie back to the camp, curious to learn more about why Elara was called upon to help them on Caledonia. As they settle around a makeshift table, Jamie begins to explain the situation. "I've been trying to gather information about this situation for a long time now," Jamie starts, "Ever since Elara and our sisters were taken away to be trained as a Widow, I couldn't bear the thought of her being trapped in that life. I wanted to find a way to rescue her and the others, but it wasn't that simple."

He takes a deep breath before continuing, "I found out that the Widows are controlled by a powerful figure on this planet, someone known as the Overseer. The Overseer is a ruthless individual who wields significant influence and power over the entire operation. He's the one who commands the Widows and keeps them in line through fear and manipulation." Omega listens intently, her young mind processing the information. "So, you want to help free the Widows and take down the Overseer?" she asks. "Yes, exactly," Jamie replies, impressed by Omega's astuteness. "But I couldn't do it alone. I've been gathering a small group of resistance fighters here on Caledonia. We've been trying to undermine the Widow program and challenge the Overseer's rule, but our progress has been slow."

"That's where Elara and all of you come in," he continues, looking at Clone Force 99. "I knew that with her help, we might stand a chance at taking down the Overseer and freeing the Widows." Hunter nods, understanding the gravity of the situation. "We'll do everything we can to help," he says firmly. "But first, we need to learn more about the Widows, the Overseer, and their operation. The more we know, the better our chances." Hunter finishes looking towards Elara who pinches the bridge of her nose and sighs Tech immediately starts accessing his databanks and begins to analyze the available information on Caledonia and the Widow program. "I will compile all relevant data to aid us in our mission," he states, his fingers flying over his holographic interface.

Elara places a hand on Techs Holopad to lower it, she sighs deeply "No need for that Tech, I can help with the information... I was a Widow at one point" she chuckles softly to herself, anxiously her right leg bounces as she takes a deep breath then exhaling "The Overseer is our Mother" Elara pauses while taking a breath, suddenly she feels the weight of a foot gently pressing down on her own, she feels Hunter shift next to her as he places his arm around her shoulders with placing his hand on her shoulder while squeezing her for reassurance, she keeps her focus on her brother Jamie from across the way, he's observing the situation closely but keeping silent to absorb the intel.

As Elara gathers her thoughts, Hunter's comforting gesture helps her find the strength to continue. "Yes, the Overseer is our Mother," she repeats, her voice steady but tinged with emotions that run deep. "When we were taken as children to be trained as Widows, we were told that she was our savior, our protector. She promised us a better life, but it turned into a nightmare."

Elara's memories resurface, and she continues, "The Widow training was brutal and intense. They drilled us in combat, espionage, and manipulation techniques. We were taught to obey without question and to suppress any emotions that might hinder our missions. Those who resisted or failed were... dealt with harshly." Her gaze briefly drifts away as the memories weigh on her, but Hunter's support keeps her grounded. "We were trained to be deadly weapons, and we were sent on missions all across the galaxy," she says, her voice growing resolute. "The Overseer controls every aspect of our lives, and she uses fear and manipulation to keep us in line. She has eyes and ears everywhere, and betrayal is severely punished." Echo speaks up, his tone full of concern, "So, how did you manage to escape from all of that?"

With a soft chuckle she looks over to Echo and smirks softly "I was out on a recon mission, I had been ambushed, left for dead by a pack of raiders. I had passed out from my injuries, when I awoke I was on a ship headed for Coruscant. Turns out my rescuers were a Jedi Knight and his padawan" Elara smiles softly as she glances down and back up to Echo "Little did I know they would help me get back on the right track and I would later serve side by side with them during The Clone Wars" she finishes while smiling sadly "That explains why you served with General Kenobi and General Skywalker exclusively" Echo chimes in making her chuckle softly before turning her attention back to Jamie "I was in their debt for their help in freeing me, then we became friends, family essentially so I had decided to stay when the Republic asked me to aid during the Clone Wars." She finishes as she looks towards Jamie after hearing her story.
