PART FIVE – CHAPTER TWO;
MASON MOUNT
23rd June – 30th June
A mixture of the thrill of making it through the group stages as well as the quarantine life of Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell. England prepare to face Germany at Wembley on the 29th June, which they go on to win 2:0.
A goal from Sterling in the 75th minute with an assist from Luke Shaw, and then a goal in the 86th minute from Harry Kane with an assist from Jack Grealish, sends them into the Quarter Finals.
Declan Rice starts but is subbed off in the 87th minute for Jordan Henderson, whereas John Stones plays the full match. Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell are reunited with the group as Mason is on the bench however Ben watches from the stands.

"Ben is going to guess something soon" said Sophia as Mason pressed her body up against the wall in the shared living space they had, still early in the morning so she knew it would be unlikely for him to walk in but still it was a risky game Mason was playing.
"Don't care" he smirked as his lips continued kissing along her neck, his teeth grazing along the wet skin slightly, not wanting to mark her but liking the way her pulse raced with every change in his movements.
"You will care when we get told off by Southgate and thrown out of camp" Sophia reminds him, knowing they are still playing a very dangerous game right now, one that they both seemed to forget at times.
"Stop being sensible" Mason pouted as the words came out of his mouth as his hand went to reach for her thigh.
The click of the door pulled them apart, even though they were around the corner, out of sight of the entrance they both practically leapt apart smoothing down their clothes and trying to calm their breathing as Ben ventured further into the room.
"Good morning" he said with a smile on his face as Mason returned the same smile, Sophia still feeling a slight blush on her cheeks "let's see what today brings" he said as he reached for a handful of grapes, his body now turned to the other two, completely unaware of what he had just interrupted.

"I'm so glad we are back outside" said Ben to Mason on the second day they were allowed out.
Granted they had been able to walk around these pitches between two set times of the day before however they were told they couldn't train in case one of them was sick and they made it worse.
So now that they could be out on the grass, running up and down, practicing shots that Sophia had set out for them while she sits on the sidelines, they both realise how much they have taken things like this for granted in the past.
Both Ben and Mason look up to the top of the hill, the mound blocking their view of the rest of the training sessions as they smile. Daisy is stood on top, her camera pointed towards them as they both wave and smile towards her as she snaps away.
She moves the camera from her eyes as she waves back at them, glad to see them both in real life and not over facetime like they had been doing. She clicks the button a few more times as she lowers it down, blowing exaggerated kisses to them before turning away to head back in.
Ben runs a few more drills before he looks at Mason "I'm done mate" he grins "need to get back into this slowly" he laughs as Mason laughs too.
"Weak mate" Mason jokes "get showered and meet in the lounge for FIFA in a bit?" he asks him.
