So, it's been a while, 2 years to be exact. It's been 2 years since we've arrived at the Sanctuary. The entire pack has grown, especially the Speedstinger children. The twins, Striker and Stinger have grown to be adults. Stingstrike, is still being bothered by the twins, but for a different reason. Stingstrike has grown to also be an adult Speedstinger, he has not grown out of his shyness though. Everytime I see him, I remember when he was just a tiny baby, being teased and chased by the twins. Also, good news! Gruff can get around the Sanctuary without any help. We found this out by accident, we woke up to him gone and found him talking to the Bewilderbeast.

I scolded him for scaring us half to death but he didn't look sorry, I should have expected it from a dragon who sasses me on a regular basis. There is also bad news, Magma, had sadly passed away. We woke up one day and it wasn't as warm as I had remembered. We found her, peacefully resting away from the group, I can only imagine she didn't want us to freak out over her dead body on us. Another elder, a titanwing Rumblehorn had offered to take her body to a final resting place. I talked it over with the pack and majority said they wanted to bury her. So, after telling Cloudjumper the unfortunate news, we left the Sanctuary. We flew to the island where we first practiced my alpha mind control.

We landed and we all started digging a giant hole to put her body, once the whole was big enough, we gently put her body in it. Once the hole was covered, we all just lied there, holding each other. None of us had the energy or motivation to move from her resting place. That was until Cloudjumper and Valka found us, by then, the sun was setting. Cloudjumper talked us into coming back to the Sanctuary and Valka gave the others comforting words and pats. Dragons do not have the tear ducts to cry, like humans do, but we can bellow in grief for our fallen comrades. That is what we did when we got back, we bellowed all night, the other dragons in the Sanctuary understood our grief and no one interrupted us.

None of us slept that night and no one ate anything in the morning. None of left the dragon pile we always made when we went to sleep. On occasion, one of us would bellow and the rest followed suite until we all just stopped bellowing. This cycle would follow for a few days until one day, Cloudjumper, Valka, and the Bewilderbeast had come over to our spot. The pack didn't have the energy to bow in front of the Bewilderbeast and it had surprised me. The surprise had activated my feeding system and my stomach started hurting, probably because I was so hungry, but I didn't care and didn't move.

I felt something cold on my scales and I turned to see the Bewilderbeast looking at us with worry. I had turned to look at Cloudjumper and he had the same look. Valka was trying to 'motivate' Acidspitter and Shocker into the water, since they were water dragons and would dry up. They didn't look like they were going to move anytime soon. I was underneath the entire dragon pile and I felt a physically weight lift off me, Cloudjumper had picked up Gem and Jewel and threw them into the water. Most of the dragons in the dragon pile picked up their heads when they heard Gem and Jewel screech and a splash of water. After that, it was Acidspitter, he didn't realize until he hit the water that Cloudjumper picked him up. Then it was Shocker, he made his lightning static up to try and get Cloudjumper to let him go, but it was in vein as he was too thrown into the water.

The other realized what was happening and scattered, they didn't get very far since we all were just laying in a pile for a few days. The Bewilderbeast picked up the larger dragons, Soaringslice, Timberfire, and Flintslice, and also put them in the water despite their efforts to try and fly. The Speedstingers were picked up by Valka and had their tails held down and then thrown into the water below. Spitfire didn't care in that moment and just jumped into the water. The Grim Gnashers and Terrors were the ones who got the farthest before getting caught. Mostly due to their small sizes, Cloudjumper and Valka hunted them like dragons hunting fish. Everyone ended up in the water except Fireworm and I, Fireworm because they were on my back and did not starve themselves of nutrition.
