Cold. It feels so cold. Why is it cold? What happened? My eyes are closed, but I can't open them. A pang of pain shoots through my skull as I try to remember what happened. Suddenly, my eyes shoot open, why am I in water!? I flap my wings and paddle my claws and I'm soon in the air. Water drips down my scales, but they sizzle away when my glow comes. Still got it! I shake my body and look around only to see absolutely no one around. Besides broken down human contraptions, dead bodies, and ice. Wait, ice? Wait! Ice!? The challenger! The colony! My pack! That B@§t@rd! Okay, don't curse yet Y/N, still got tail to beat. That still doesn't explain why I was in water, though. I walk into the water and dive down to see anything that could tell me about what happened before I fell asleep, or passed out.
I dive down further and see something wooden, it looks like a larger boat. It has some arrows stuck in it, also a large cloth, but the cloth isn't covering anything. Wait, was the cloth covering me!? Now, I don't know my share of humans grieving or funeral processes but how could they just leave me with the fish!? I then look around and see another boat, this time with something under the cloth. I swim up to it and I see something floating near the cloth, a helmet. Hey, that looks familiar to- no. It can't be, he can't be- oh gods. What happened? I need to find the others.
I swim up to the surface and try to look around for anything or anyone still around. Alright, there is officially no one here, even though I only looked for about two seconds. I bring my snout up to the wind and sniff. Humans, other dragons of the colony, dragons not part of the colony, the challenger, fire? Fire? Why would there be fire? Unless, that how Stoick passed. I would like to think he died protecting his kin, or Valka, that's what a male should do. I bring my nose up again and sniff deeper, try to find a scent I can follow. More dragons, more dragons, more drago- Gruff! I snort and look down, that Hobblegrunt must have known I wasn't truly gone.
I fly up and follow Griff's scent, if I'm close, then it will bring me to where they went. I can't wait to tear into the challenger, yield or not. But, the colony, they must be so hurt from losing an alpha, and almost losing another one. The air along my scales is cold, but my scales keep me warm. So, when I get to wherever I'm going to get to, i'll-DAMN. I am very suddenly smacked upon the face by a very familiar and warm force. I hear familiar panicked growls and feel very warm nuzzles. I missed this. "Missed you too, my friend." I purr and the familiar warmth of Fireworm. I wonder how he found me, yet again.
I hear very panicked growls coming from Fireworm and him basically doing flips on my snout. "Woah, calm down bud, what happened. Well I know what happened, but why are you so panicked?" As far as I know, I think Fireworms can't be controlled because they already have a queen, their mom, also known as the Fireworm queen. That, or their too small to be controlled. Either way, this is cool. I continue flying, very hard to do so since my wings feel like they want to cramp next to my body forever. I also have a massive headache, thanks to getting slammed into an ice wall. 0/10 would not recommend, almost died.
I keep flying, swerving past multiple sea stacks, flying over random dragons who look totally out of it. I keep flying until I see two weird structures that look like vikings, they have a sword and a shield and have fire in their mouths. The challenger. I growl automatically upon seeing the challenger that killed the Bewilderbeast even though he yielded. He won't get mercy from me. Also, I see a giant flock up dragons up above. Alright, let's see if I still got it.
"Dragons of my flock. Come to me."
The challenger seems focused on Toothless and his human, not noticing me take a large chunk of the flock. I'm actually surprised a lot of them came to me, maybe it's because they accepted me as their alpha and the challenger took them by force. I fly right above the challenger, I don't attack him yet, even though how much Fireworm growls itch at me too. I only focus on Toothless and his human, Hiccup put his hand on Toothless'snout and Toothless breaks control of the challenger despite his efforts. "Atta boy, that's it! I'm here!" Hiccup says with happiness in his voice, this shows how much Hiccup and Toothless has bonded. I was wrong to mistrust the human. "Enough!" Drago says as he slams his stick against Toothless' face.
