Summary: you meet Cedric at the Quidditch World Cup

House:  you don't go to Hogwarts (Beauxbatons)

AUTHOR P.O.V

Cedric and his father walked through the huge crowd on the camping grounds in search of their tent, the place was already packed even though the finals were still half a day away but they couldn't say anything about it, they came early too.

they left the Weasleys a while back and told them they would come by later, that was gonna be a while longer, Cedric was sure of it anyway. he looked around as his father asked someone who worked there where their tent was.

Cedric couldn't see anyone that was familiar to him, he knew some of his friends from Hogwarts would come to the game but he wasn't about to go and search for them only for him to get lost himself. he scanned the crowd and suddenly made eye contact with a girl. he had never seen her before but she was beautiful, to say the least, she had (H/L)(H/C), and (E/C) eyes that looked right back at him. he smiled at the girl and she shot him a small smile back and gave him a little wave.'

he wanted to wave back at her but his father called him "Cedric?" he glanced at his father and back at the girl but...she was gone. he sighed and walked up to his father "Our tent is over there" he said and started pulling his son along to their sleeping spot for the next two days.

his father opened the flap of the tent and Cedric's eyes widened, he grew up with magic but some things still managed to surprise him through the years. there were two king-sized beds and a kitchen. and in the middle of the tent was a small living area with a couch and a coffee table.

"so are you excited for the game?" his father asked and he honestly found it a stupid question, Cedric loved quidditch and he had been talking about to World Cup ever since it started.

in the meantime, a few tents down the line stood a girl with the same (H/L)(H/C) and (E/C) by the tent she herself was staying in. She was exactly the opposite of Cedric, she didn't want to be here, she loved quidditch don't get her wrong but she had better things to do and she knew Ireland was going to win anyway, Bulgaria wasn't that good, the only one that could actually play on this level was Viktor Krum and he was a self-centered sod and would catch the snitch too soon, it was written in the stars.

her thoughts flickered back to the boy she had just seen, she honestly wanted to go over and talk to him but her older brother dragged her away. "Father, do I have to help?" she asked her father who was unpacking together with her brother. he shook his head "No, you can go and explore some more" (Y/N) nodded and didn't wait for him to change his mind, she walked off and started looking around for a merchandise stand so she could buy something for her little brother who her parents still found too young to come to this kind of stuff.

(Y/N) spotted a stand not too far away selling hats and scarves for Ireland, luckily that was the team her little brother was rooting for Ireland to win so she hurried up and walked over there before the stand would get too crowded and she wouldn't get the chance to buy anything for him.

there was plenty of stuff there to buy but (Y/N) wasn't exactly rich and had to pay with her own pocket money so she could just buy him one thing. she looked through the wares until he found an Ireland shirt with the name of her little brother's favorite player on the team, Troy, (Y/N) didn't know his first name and she didn't really care to get to know it. she picked the shirt up in case someone else wanted it but continued to look around to see if there was something better.

someone cleared their throat behind her and she rolled her eyes thinking that somebody wanted the shirt she was holding in her hands but when she turned around she was pleasantly surprised to see the boy she had waved at earlier "What a coincidence" he grinned down at her and (Y/N) smiled "so it seems, did you follow me?" she joked around with him, he shrugged "maybe, would be worth it"

(Y/N) felt the tip of her ears become warm, this guy was a flirt "Okay mister...?" he made a little joking bow towards her "My name is Cedric Diggory, at your service" (Y/N) smirked and did as if she grabbed the sides of her dress and courtesied "it's nice to make your acquaintance, my name is (Y/N)(L/N)"

the both of them smiled at each other before Cedric looked down at the shirt in her hands "Ireland fan?" he wondered and (Y/N) shrugged and turned around to finally pay for the shirt "It's for my little brother, he would die to be here" she told him as she handed some galleons over to the vendor of the stand.

she turned back around and Cedric was still there, luckily. "so who are you supporting then?" he asked her as they started walking back to where their tents are "I'm supporting Ireland, you?" "me too"

the two continued on their walk to their tents, arriving at (Y/N)'s first "I'm just over there" Cedric said already being able to see his father by the opening of his tent. (Y/N) nodded "Good to know" She bit her lip and glanced back into her tent "Wait here" She quickly turned and ducked into her tent. Cedric waited about ten seconds before she came back out.

"give me your hand?" he raised his hand and watched as she pulled a pen out of her pocket and uncapped it, she started writing on his open palm and he didn't even protest it, too curious to see what she was writing.

she put the cap back on the pen and Cedric looked down at the neat writing on his hand, it was an address in France "That's my address, I would like to keep in contact with you if you would like that that is..." Cedric immediately nodded "I would love that" (Y/N)'s smile visibly brightened.

"great" she whispered before standing on her tippy toes and kissing him on the cheek "I'll see you later Cedric" she waved a little as she went back into her tent. Cedric stood there for a few seconds before snapping out of his thought, he was definitely going to write this down and send her a letter once he was back home.
