The next morning, Brina woke up to the soft rays of sunlight filtering through the curtains. She stretched her limbs and turned to see that Megumi wasn't there.
Brina sat up, a bit surprised that Megumi wasn't by her side. She glanced around the room, but he was nowhere to be seen. A small pang of worry fluttered in her chest, wondering where he had gone.
She got up and put on some shorts before making her way downstairs. She walked into the kitchen but didn't see him. "Baby?" she called out, her voice echoing through the house. There was no response.
Feeling a mix of concern and curiosity, Brina stepped outside onto the porch. No sight of him. Brina looked in the bathroom and other rooms but still couldn't find Megumi.
