"Mommy, Where we going?" Mizu inquired as I adjusted her jacket. "We are going to see an old friend of Mama's." "She's like another mom to me when your grandma isn't here," I stated as I carefully drew Mizu's braids into a ponytail.
Mizu raised her huge, innocent eyes to me. "What about Shiba?" "Shiba is going to stay with Megumi; make sure she doesn't tare up, nun," I joked. Mizu remained at the door, excitedly awaiting my departure, while I prepared myself and grabbed a few things.
"Uhhh, I know you are not living without giving me a kiss." I heard Megumi's voice. I turned towards Megumi; his hair was covering his eyes a little bit. "Oh, you're awake," I smiled, walking over to him. "Uh-Hu. Where you two going?" he asked, his hands wrapping around my waist.
"Just out. You know," I smiled as I pushed his hair back, revealing his eyes. "You take care of Shiba, alright? And if anything happens, you know you can call me." Megumi nodded, a playful grin spreading across his face.
"Of course, I got everything under control. You two go and handle your business. Just don't forget about me."
I leaned forward and gently kissed him. "I could never forget about you, Megumi," I murmured as I tried to move away, but he dragged me back into another kiss. Mizu growled as she raced over to us, attempting to shove Megumi away.
