Description- April and y/n fell in love before the merger, April refuse to admit her feelings for the other woman and uses her faith as a reason that they can't be together, that her religion look down on it at least that's what her father said. But now that Y/n is trying to move on and April is back from being fired after failing her boards so she keeps on trying to keep y/n to herself but refuses to be with her.

Y/n's pov-

"Y/n, we have a great day today!" Callie said as she pulled me into the X-ray room.

"Is that a pilon fracture? That's the rare bone to break, I've only seen two." I gasped as I stared at the picture.

"I've only seen five, so be thankful I'm letting you do this on your own."

"Callie, if you weren't married with a kid I would kiss you!" I laughed and pulled her into a tight hug.

Callie was my best friend, mentor and person.

"I think it's best you stay Sofia's god mother don't you? Four mothers would be to much for the poor girl." Callie joked as she pushed me away. "Anyway how am I going to get rid of you if you never finish this fellowship."

"Excuse me? You're the one who begged me to stay!" I laughed as we were walking to the patients room.

I froze in my track when I saw the red head beauty I loved but always ends up hurting me.

She was looking for someone, I know that someone was me.

"I'll meet you there, I need to use the toilet." I told Callie before running off.

Why is she back, I thought that she was gone.

I thought her breaking my heart over and over again was done, that I could finally move on.

"Y/n?" Lexi laughed as she walked into the bathroom. "Why did you run in here- are you okay?"

I wiped my eyes realising that I was crying, how pathetic I am.

"April is back and I just- how am I meant to move on if the woman I love won't let me but doesn't want to be with me."

"Y/n, you need to put yourself first for once." Lexi said as she pulled me into a hug. "As long as Ive known you what has been 5 years, you have been in this weird thing with April and she always hurts you and uses her religion as a reason."

"I know."

"Good, wipe your tears! We can go Sofia if you want, I could use some of my baby's cuddles and I'm sure she would love to see her Aunt."

"I have to get back to Callie but you are rocking this stepmom thing!" I smiled before wiping my tears and leaving the bathroom.

I was walking to the paitents room when April came running over to me, pulling me into a tight hug.

It took all of my will power to push her off me.

"I'm not doing this again April, you always lead me on and then leave me because it's 'not right'. I need to move on and you need to let me."I get out before quickly walking off before I cracked and apologised for making her upset.

I sat at the bar of joes, playing with the straw of my drink.

I couldn't get out of my mind that April was back yet again, why did she always come back when I finally start to move on.

Is the world play a sick joke on me?

"Hey, Can I buy you a drink?" A woman asked as she slid into the seat beside me, she had long blonde hair and I couldn't really tell because of the bar lights but it looked like she had blue eyes.
