Stupid- Addison

Description: Addison stayed in Seattle for Derek but fell in love with y/n. But stupidly chose Derek over her, scared of what people would think.

Y/n is bartender training to be a nurse.  She is a two years older than Meredith so 9 years younger than Addison but who cares Meredith was 12 years younger than Derek.

Y/n is Joe's younger sister by let's say 14 years.
Joe doesn't have a last name so let's say it's y/l/n

Addison's pov-

"I'm so sorry y/n but I hurt my husband once, I can't do it again." I sighed and pulled away from the woman the other side of the bar. "Even if he is in love with the intern, he chose me and I can't hurt him again."

"It's whatever, I am just a  silly bartender who made a mess of her life." She laughed bitterly, thinking back to what I said in front of Derek to prove I was 'over' y/n only twenty minutes ago. "I have to get back to work."

"Y/n, I didn't mean it like that." I sighed and tried to take her hand into mine but she pulled away. "You are more than just a bartender."

She just walked off and I tried to call after her but joe stops me.

"I think it's best you go Addison." Joe sighed and followed after his sister.

I watched as she made a drink and pushed it over to Meredith who looked just as sad as y/n did.

I felt jealousy take over as I saw y/n pat the woman's shoulder and tell her the drink was free because they were in the same boat.

"I'll come by to talk tomorrow." I called over to the bartenders and left before I said anything I would regret to the intern.

"Joe can I please talk to y/n" I begged for the tenth night in a row but once again she wasn't anywhere to be seen.

"Like I've said every night you have came, she doesn't want to speak to you but it doesn't matter anymore." He sighed and poured someone their drink.

"What why?" I asked confused, I know she's upstairs in the apartment most likely hiding from me.

"She left for her new job training as a nurse early this morning." he said before giving me a fake smile and going to leaving. "She isn't just a bartender who messed up her life anymore is she?"

She was really gone? Sighing I grabbed my stuff and left to go back to the stupid trailer where Derek and I would most likely fight for hours.

I just moved into my beach house in la when I saw the woman I have missed so much getting out of her car looking so tired as she carried a bag of take out.

"Y/n?" I called out as I put the box I was holding down.

She looked over at me, her face turned into a look I've never seen before as she continued to walk into her house not even sparing me a second look.

I was about to go after her but before I could my phone started ringing so I went inside to answer it.

"Y/n can we talk?" I asked as I stopped her walking into her house the next day.

"What, Derek kick you to the curb again so you come back to me?"

"I left him this time, I left him because we both wanted different things and- different people." I said as I tried to take her hand but she pulled away.

"Just because you left him doesn't change all the things you said to me." She sighed and looked down at her hands.

"I'm sorry for what I said I really didn't mean it, okay maybe you had a bad start to your life but you put that to the side and made it better for yourself. You put yourself through school to become a nurse and here you are following your dream."
