Kash
Watching Fendi fall for my brother's bullshit is bothering me way more than it should, but I can't help it. I love my brother but I can't play dumb and act like he's not a shitty person when it comes to love. He's only ever been in serious relationships with women but I have seen him cheat on every last one of them, I've seen him break hearts and not show a sign of remorse so who am I to say he wouldn't do the same thing to Fendi?
From my talks with him I've learned that Fendi has a pure heart and a person with a pure heart is somebody who doesn't even need to think about trying to have a relationship with my brother. Even if it starts out as just sex, Fendi will eventually fall for my brother's charm just like the rest of them and end up getting hurt. I didn't want that for Fendi. He deserves more.
He deserves me..
I hadn't even paid any attention to the fact that open mic had already started and that three people had already performed because I was too busy staring at my brother making Fendi laugh from the corner of my eye. I guess you could call it jealousy but I truly don't want to see him in any pain that Mel may bring him. I guess I'm also a little upset that I've spent this whole day with Fendi and only managed to make him laugh maybe twice, meanwhile he hasn't stopped laughing since he sat next to Rahmel.
"Next up we have Ghetto Harmony" says the man on stage with the microphone. My brother and I look at each other as we get up from our seats and everybody around starts clapping as they realize that we're the group that the man called for. We've always been really popular at this school, so all of the love that the crowd was showing was expected and it made me feel good. As we make our way to the stage I feel a bit of nervousness overcome me, but I quickly try to brush it off as we sit down on the two chairs that they have set up on the stage.
"Wassup yall, how y'all feeling?" My brother tries to engage with the crowd before we start and of course they respond back to him excitedly. I look over to the table that we were sitting at earlier and notice that Fendi has a big smile on his face like a proud mom. I try to follow his eyes to figure out if he's staring at me or Rahmel and my body filled with heat when I noticed that his gaze was set on me and of course I gave him a smile back. Maybe I was overreacting earlier, maybe he's not really interested in my brother. I don't know but either way, in that second all of my nerves were gone just in time for the DJ to start playing our song and I started singing.
"Okay, okay I put my pride down
Put down your attitude
You stop yelling at me, I stop yelling at you
We both said some things, most of it ain't even true
We talk crazy when we mad, you know how we do
I need a minute, can you give me one?
Let me get my mind right, room, can you give me some?"
I looked as the crowd watched in enjoyment and shock while bopping their heads. I'm guessing the shock is because this is everybody's first time finding out that me and my brother can sing, but I am feeling relieved that they seem to be enjoying it. After a minute goes by, my brother is closing out the rest of the song with his vocals.
"Tell me if you love me, why you leaving?
Thought we were together for a reason
If you really love me, why you leaving?
Tell me if you love me, why you leaving?
Thought we were together for a reason"
As he's singing, I follow his eyes and see that he's staring right at Fendi as if this motherfucker is serenading to him, and of course Fendi's giddy ass is blushing...Here comes my rage building back up.
