Bianca wakes up in the middle of the night to use the restroom. Her mind has been racing ever since her brother left her room that day after beating up Syx in the bathroom. She had no idea who the boy was that her brother harmed and was actually kind of relieved that she hadn't heard anything about it from anyone at the school. It was starting to seem like she had nothing to worry about. She texted and called her brother earlier in the night but he hadn't gotten back to her which wasn't like him, but she was trying not to worry so much.

After she leaves the bathroom, she walks over to her table where her phone is laying on to see if Kane ever texted her back. Her phone was on silent so there was a good chance that he had finally responded and she didn't know.

Instead of a text or a phone call from her brother, she was met with about 15 missed calls from her mother. . . Bianca's heart immediately dropped. Growing up in Philly, she knows that this many phone calls at any time of the day is never a good sign and more than likely means that someone is hurt.

When she called her mother back, she realized that her concerns were valid when she heard her mother tell her that Kane had been brutally beaten and taken to the hospital to undergo surgery.

Bianca rushed to put some clothes on and make it out to her car before rushing to the hospital. The entire drive, she was trying to figure out who could have done this to her brother. Of course, her initial thought would be that the boy who her brother beat up in the bathroom came back for some sort of revenge, but it wasn't that simple. Kane had multiple enemies because of the many people he had crossed in the city for his own personal gain, so Bianca knew that it could have honestly been anybody who would want to hurt Kane.

The only thing that she knew for sure was that whoever did this wasn't a killer because niggas in Philly do not hesitate to take someone's life.

She pulled up to the hospital and immediately ran inside. As soon as she was about to tell the lady at the front desk who she was here for, she spotted her mother in the hallway and ran to her as they gave each other a big hug.

"How is he?" Bianca asks her mom.

"He got out of surgery an hour ago and he's resting now. They beat him so badly Bianca. He has several broken ribs and his face is swollen." Bianca's mom says to her while several tears fall from her face. "Those motherfuckers even carved his face Bianca. Do you know who would do something like this?"

Bianca stood there for a second and thought that maybe it was the boy that Kane beat up in the bathroom, but unfortunately she has no idea who the boy is or what he looks like. She shakes her head no and her mother looks down at the floor in disappointment.

"Okay, I was going outside for a smoke. He's in room 201, you can go sit in there with him. He might still be sleep." She says to Bianca as she walks towards the front door to go smoke.

Once Bianca reaches the room, she takes her brothers hand as she sees his almost unrecognizable face. Tears start to fall from her eyes and she looks at her brother and feels her chest fill up with pain.

She knows that her brother isn't perfect, she knows that he makes his mistakes but that's still her brother at the end of the day. She never wants to see him in any amount of pain so seeing him like this was breaking her heart.

"B?" Kane says, as he opens his eyes to look at her.

She quickly wipes the tears from her eyes, "yes Kane. How do you feel? Who did this?"

"Them niggas-" Kane says before he starts coughing rapidly.

Bianca quickly grabs the cup of water that was next to his hospital bed and puts it to his mouth so that he could take a sip.
