Chapter 5
(Not edited)
"I-I'm s-sorry," Mr. Lombardi stammered.
He then quickly shut the door and left me alone. I blanched and little choking sounds were coming out of my mouth. I felt foolish and agaped.
What just happened?
Nobody has seen me exposed, that is until today. I felt very violated and embarassed. My parents were the only ones who had seen me naked, but that was when I was a baby. Other than that, no one. I shuddered at this thought.
I broke my shocked trance and speadily walked towards the door. I quickly locked it and slid down until I sat on the floor. I panted and rested my head on my knees. I tried to hear if there was any noise coming from the outside, but I heard none.
He probably left.
I sighed in relief and got up. I got my clothes off of the floor from when I had dropped it and got in the shower. As I was washing my hair, I started wondering on what Mr. Lombardi is doing and if it is ever going to get awkward between us. It probably will.
I sighed and continued massaging my scalp.
Oh, Mr. Lombardi look what you've done.
Once I got out of my steaming, hot shower I wrapped myself in a towel and got out. I dried myself up and dressed into tight black yoga pants, a loose top, and comfy socks. I put my hair in a bun and got out of the bathroom. It took me about twenty minutes to get ready. I didn't want to face Mr. Lombardi just yet. I slowly walked towards the door, but stopped momentarily and inhaled through my nose.
Here goes nothing.
I exhaled through my mouth and reached out to open the door. I tentatively walked towards the livingroom. Mr Lombardi was sitting on the couch, covering his face with his hands. He let out a frustrated groan and slumped back, laying on my couch. His face was still covered with his hands, so he didn't see that I was witnessing all of this.
Should I...?
I shrugged me shoulders. What the hell. I tapped his arm lightly. He instantly uncovered his face and looked at me. I could see the blush creeping on his face. His piercing blue eyes looked away in embarassment and so did mine. It started to get awkward, very awkward, so I cleared my throat and spoke.
"Uh...where's the medicine I needed to take?" I asked randomly.
I had no idea what to tell him so I just said the first thing that came up in my mind.
"It's on the kitchen counter," he responded and continued to ignore me.
I walked towards the kitchen and saw a glass of water with a bottle of pills just where he said they were. I picked up the pill bottle and shook one out onto the palm of my hand. Once one fell out, I drank a sip of water and popped the pill in my mouth and swallowed it. I drank the rest of the water to get rid of the rancid taste of the pill. I put the glass in the sink. I twisted the lid on the pillbottle and placed it in one of the kitchen cabinets.
I walked back to the livingroom and saw Mr. Lombardi still sitting at the same spot where I had left him, staring off into space. I sat on the opposite side of him and played with my hands, not knowing what else to do at awkward times like these. A few silent minutes passed until Mr. Lombardi stood up and checked his watch.
"Um, I have to go. I'll come back in the morning to come and check on you," he announced and finally looked at me.
"You don't have to do that," I whispered.
