I was not prepared for this at all. A child doesn't come with a manual or instructions. I didn't know how to take care of a child. I was the only child my parents had so I didn't have the experience of taking care of a younger sibling.

Now, I had Rosie with no parental experience. She was sitting in the back of my sedan without a car seat. No, I wasn't driving. I was parked outside the place where I had just adopted her. I had forgotten that you have to be prepared before you adopt a child.

I was not prepared at all.

I took a long sigh and lightly banged my head against the steering wheel. What had I just done?

I dialed the only person who I can count on to do anything magically.

"Hello," the person on the other line said.

"Julissa, I need you to bring me a car seat and an SUV." I cringed because I knew she was going to start asking me too many questions.

"Okay. Where are you?"

I knew I could count on her.

"So, you're telling me that you adopted a child without knowing how to take care of an actual child?"

I sighed annoyingly as I buckled Rosie in.

"Yes, Julissa. Can you stop asking the same question you've asked a thousand times already?"

"Sorry," she grumbled. "It's just...shocking."

"I know, but it just happened. I wasn't really thinking clearly." I finished buckling doe-eyed Rosalie. She was staring at me like I was a new toy.

"Do you regret it?" Julissa asked beside me.

"No," I said as I stared back at Rosie. Then I turned to look at Julissa who looked taken aback. "I mean, I thought I would when I called you, but I just can't regret it when you look at her," I said and looked at Rosie again.

"Yea, I guess you're right. She is pretty cute," Julissa said and reached around me to caress Rosie's cheeks.

"Her name is Rosalie, right?" I nodded my head. "It's a name that suits her cheeks. They're pink."

"I know," I said as I stared at Rosie in admiration.

"Okay, so you're going to drive the Range Rover I brought you right?"

Julissa brought me a white Range Rover Evoque. I don't know how she purchased it so quickly because I had never had a Range Rover in my life. Like I said, she is someone who I can count on to do things quickly and right. She also brought a car seat already buckled to the car. The woman is a miracle worker.

"Yes, you drive my Rolls Royce back to my house." Her eyes lit up in excitement. "But, if I find a scratch it will come out of your paycheck." Her look of excitement faded and she gulped.

"Yes, ma'am," she said in somewhat of a joking matter. "Can I ask you one more thing though?"

"What is it?" I said as I gently closed the door where Rose was and walked towards the drivers seat.

"Why did you need me to buy an SUV?" She asked curiously.

"Because I'm not driving Rose in a sedan. It's far too dangerous," I explained. I hopped on to the drivers seat and turned on my new SUV. It was much bigger than my regular sedans and sports cars.

"Right," she said and started making her way to my smaller car. She stopped in the middle of her tracks and spun around. "You know, you're going to be a great mom." She continued making her way to my car without uttering another word, leaving me stunned.
