So, it turns out McDonald's wasn't that bad. I mean, I didn't dare eat the food, but Rosalie had a fun time. She played in the kid's playground for about an hour. I actually enjoyed seeing her sliding down the slides and crawling through the tubes. She was definitely going to need a shower when she got home. Just thinking about all the kids playing in their would make me cringe.

When she had asked me if she can go play, my answer was going to be a no. I didn't want her to play in a place where there were a lot of kids. For one thing, they are not the cleanest people in the world. For another, I was afraid they would hurt her. I didn't want to see her get hurt, but then I thought about it. I can't always prevent her from getting hurt. I can't keep her away from children because of my fears. After thinking about it, I had finally let her go.

She had a fun time, so I was happy about that. Luckily, she didn't get hurt. That was a plus.

"So where should we go now, Julissa?" We were in my car already. I quickly turned on the heater. The temperatures were dropping because of Fall and because it was getting closer to the evening.

"I think we should go to Macy's. It's a department store, so they have everything you will need," she explained.

"Macy's? What about Neiman Marcus?" I did not want to buy my daughter's things at Macy's.

"Sure," she simply replied.

Neiman Marcus was about a twenty minute drive. I felt relaxed since Rose wasn't starving anymore.

Just thinking about Rose was making me feel excited, yet nervous. I was excited because I finally had someone who will be my responsibility. I was already day-dreaming about things I should buy her and do things together as mother and daughter.

I was nervous because taking care of someone as little as her was going to be a big commitment. I can no longer work my twelve hours or so, or travel a lot anymore. She was more important now, but I was afraid how I was going to work this out. This was going to be a big challenge for me.

We had finally arrived to the department store. It was getting dark and I could see that Rose was getting tired. She had kept yawning on the way here. After all, I had woken her up earlier.

"We need to hurry, she's getting sleepy," I advised Julissa as Rose and I walked hand-in-hand. She nodded and led me to the children's department.

"Do you know what size she is?" She asked me as she began looking at the clothes.

"No." I sighed. I was not good at these kinds of things.

"Check the tag on her shirt. Maybe it says her size."

I pushed Rosie's long hair to the side and reached towards her back to get the tag.

"5T. Wow, that makes a lot of sense," I said and palmed my head.

Julissa started picking out every style and color that fit Rose. Soon, her arms were filled with colorful fabrics.

"Do you want me to get more clothes or are these fine?" She asked me behind the tower of garments.

"I think this is enough. I'll just order more online," I said and headed towards the shoe section. I checked Rose's shoe size and started picking out boots and sneakers accordingly.

"Now, we just need to get her some towels and shampoo," I said.

After getting all Rose needed, we went to the register and stood in line behind a handful of customers. I glanced down to see Rose fluttering her eyes shut.

"You can go wait in the car so Rose can sleep. I will take care of this." Julissa gestured towards the clothes and other necessities.

"Are you sure?" I asked hesitantly. I didn't want her to wait by herself.
