I needed to break it to my dad that I had adopted Rose. He still didn't know and I didn't know how to tell him. I came up with a couple of ideas on how to tell him that I now had a daughter, but none of them seemed right.

One option was to call him during work so he could get distracted easily after I told him the news. Another option was to show up at to his house so he can see for himself.

It's not that he didn't like kids that I was worried about. I was just afraid of how much it will impact him when he learns that there is a new addition to the family.

My father and mother have always wanted me to hurry up with marriage and make a family of my own. They dreamed of having beautiful grandchildren; a lot, too. They came up with various names from different languages for their future grandchildren. Now that my mother is gone, I didn't know if my father was going to be ecstatic about the news or more depressed than he already is. This was my only concern.

I stretched my tight limbs and got out of bed. Peeking at the clock next to me, I saw that it was barely seven in the morning. Usually, this is late for me to wake up, but now that I had a kid it was a bit too early.

I hadn't gone to work for a couple of days, so I've been calling Julissa about four to six times a day to keep me posted on what's new and what I have to do. I miss work, but it's nice to have time away from it.

I walked to my daughter's bedroom and peeked inside. She was sleeping soundlessly on her princess bed. I smiled and fully opened the door so I can wake her up.

"Darling," I cooed. She stirred and opened her sleepy eyes. She rubbed them and then went back to hugging her teddy bear.

"Yes, mommy?" She asked and gave me a sleepy smile. I smiled back at her and motioned for her to scoot over so I can lay down with her.

"Are you hungry, darling?" I asked sweetly. She shook her head no and began to yawn. "Are you tired then?" She nodded her head and rested her head against my shoulder. I sighed and gently stroked her hair. She fluttered her eyes shut and stayed like that for a while.

"Rose," I said and gently poked her belly. She stirred, but didn't open her eyes. I sighed and lightly kissed her forehead. I lightly got up from her bed and gently laid her head down on her pillow.

I glanced around Rose's room and sighed contently. Tania had done an excellent job. Rose's room was just the way I had envisioned it to be. It was fit for a princess. My princess. The walls were the perfect shade of pink, the white dresser was perfectly set under the landscaped window, and the bed was big enough so Rose won't fall off.

Rose was very happy with her new room. She stayed in here the whole day just so she can admire her new toys and her new clothes. I could see the excitement in her eyes whenever I would pick out her new outfit to wear. Her big smiled appeared for hours and hours, never once did I see her frown.

It's also been days since I've talked to Mr. Lombardi. He didn't try contacting me, but I did. He wouldn't respond to the constant calls, texts, or emails. It was like he was trying to ignore me. I had even tried entering his office, but his assistant kept telling me that he wasn't there. I knew she was lying, but I shrugged it off. I didn't want to cause a problem. What would be the whole point? If Mr. Lombardi wanted to act childish and continue to ignore me, that's on him. I was done playing with his games. I already had a child to take care of.

As I laid Rose on her bed, she stirred for a moment and I froze. I didn't want her to wake up. A few seconds later when she didn't move again, I put her down and pulled the duvet over her. It was Fall time which meant cold weather and I didn't want her to get sick.
