Perched along the white sofa within my upper Manhattan townhouse, all types of thoughts are racing through my skull. Despite a slight haze in vision, I inched forwarded and emptied the remnants of wine within the $43,500 bottle of Massandra 1775 Sherry that Lucious bought me for our anniversary two years ago into my glass.A hefty gulp filled my mouth as my hand wrapped around the bottle and I tossed it towards the vibrant images dancing across my flat screen. Instantly it shattered, ending the torturous trance of rewind and repeat consuming me for the past hour or so.
My eyes tightened as I sunk back into the sofa. Seated in silence, despite the shattered structure before me the footage from the Leviticus party on Access Hollywood continues to troll my mental.
DAMN, I hate that bitch, Cookie. Now I finally see why she didn't want to go through with the Hostile take-over. I can't believe they had another fuckin' baby and now Lucious' punk ass is remarrying her.
She stole my life, before she got out of prison Lucious and I were happy, content with our lives. Empire was getting ready to go public and I was the Queen by his side...the way it was supposed to be, then in she walked in her tighter than tight dresses and mouth almighty.
I felt a shift the very moment I walked into Lucious' office when she came to see him two days after she'd gotten out. I immediately noticed the look on his face, even though he tried to hide the smirk dancing along his lips when I interrupted them.
That sly grin that always paints his face whenever she's around quickly turned into his gaze always searching for her position in the room. As each day passed, I felt my grip on him loosening as her pull on him grew stronger and stronger.
"I love you, Cookie." His words from the night of the investor showcase sent chills down my spine, he'd uttered them without hesitation, and I knew then that I didn't have much time at that point.
If I was gonna keep him, I was gonna have to do something drastic.
My heart felt as if it was going to burst out of my chest later that night when I came home early and saw them in bed together. It wasn't that he was cheating, it was the fact that he was cheating with her.
The way that neither one of them seemed to notice anything or anyone else but each other was what baffled me the most, quite honestly. He'd cheated so much that I'd lost count by then, but it was the passion I saw between them that scared me to the depths of my soul.
Lucious and I never had that, yeah the sex was great, well at least for me it was, but the way he was ravishing her body tormented me. He was like a starving man at an all you can eat buffet; he was all over her, and she was enjoying every second of it. Nothing else existed, they were in their own universe.
His movements against her body weren't those of a man simply fucking some slut he'd meet in the club. No, he was taking his time, being slow and gentle with his strokes, suckling along her skin as if she was made of sugar or something...he was making love to her.
I left and spent the night at my parents, that's when my mother told me about my father signing the Key Man Policy for Lucious, so I decided that I was going to use that ammunition to ensure he wouldn't leave me for her.
So sure, that my plan had worked but I didn't even get a chance to crush Cookie's face with our wedding announcement because she walked up to me at the White Party with the fakest smile, I've ever seen to gloat.
I'd prepared myself for her to come for me at some point with the news of her and Lucious having had sex in our bed earlier that week, but since he'd sworn that it wouldn't happen again, I agreed to let it go. Yet, I wasn't prepared for her to tell me that they'd had sex again on top of the sound board in the studio the night before.
Lucious told me that he was going to be working late that night mixing a new song of Hakeem and Jamal's, but he didn't say that he was working on it with Cookie. I should have known something was up though because it was nearly two a.m. when he came home, and he went straight to the shower before he climbed into bed. Fueled by infuriation I didn't think my decision to go to Creedmoor all the way through before I made it.
Now, I adamantly regret it but after I was exposed, I knew that he'd never forgive me. Besides, now having slept with Hakeem there are somethings that can't be undone so I know they'll never be any chance for us again, especially not with mama Lyon draped along his arm like a cheap suit.
I'd committed the ultimate betrayal.
I still don't understand how Cookie wound up pregnant tho. I know I gave her at least two good shots to the body during that fight we had but it really doesn't even matter at this point. Their daughter is here and I'm alone.
FUCK IT! I thought to myself...those two deserve each other.
Seeing them being interviewed on the red carpet at their engagement party made me want to vomit, they looked so happy. The way he looked at her, the way she looked at him, the way they looked at each other, how they walked in sync as if they were one-person, fake ass Barack and Michelle.
Taking down the last of the wine within my glass in one gulp I crossed my legs, eyes landing onto a picture of Lucious and I within the corner. My nostrils flared. The more and more I sit here thinking about those two, the angrier I become, especially with that stupid ass tramp Cookie.
That was supposed to be your party, your baby, your wedding, my conscience echoed.
I nodded in agreement.
"You damn right girl. That old bitch stole from us." I shouted.
I have to think of some way to get her ass back for taking everything from me.
Rising to my feet I began to pace for a few seconds and then it hit me. I picked up my phone from the table and punched a few numbers in the keypad. Within five minutes things were in motion so I grabbed my purse and jacket, then headed out the door to meet my driver.
"I got your BOO BOO KITTY BITCH!"
