I was on the plane with charles to Bahrain we were talking about my first weekend racing

"i always knew our dream would come true lynn" he said

"yeah me too charlie im happy it turned out this way" i said

"are you excited for the driver dinner tomorrow night you will get to meet everyone properly not like the pre season testing" he said

"yes i am so excited i already know a lot because of before but im happy to see daniel again as well" daniel was my brothers best friend in F1 F2 and F3 he always was with him and lorenzo and he checked up on me a lot when jules died he always made sure i was ok for jules

we landed in bahrain and we went to the hotel i texted max and he told me he had arrived as well so all was well i unpacked my bag and went to bed ready for my first media day

i woke up early and went to the gym to train i walked in expecting to see no one but there were at least 9 boys on the grid and i never felt so nervous in my life i was very short compared to them they all were very muscular and manly and of course i was strong too but i still had a very feminine physique and i felt quite embarrassed.

"lynn come here i haven't seen you in ages" carlos said

"carlos its great to see you again how are you" i said

"great i am happy to see you on the grid this year" he said

"yeah its great i will get to some training now see you at the track later" i said and he nodded getting back to his work out

i was about the start my weights when i felt someone hug me from and i turned around to see lance

"hi baby you could have told me you were coming down here" he said as he kissed me

"i'm sorry i forgot and when i got here i was kinda shocked of how busy it is" i say as i hug him

lance and i had been dating for about a year we met when we almost crashed in the pit lane during one of the F2 feature races he was going back into the pits and i was leaving towards the grid and he almost crashed into me he came over and apologised and things grew from there.

"yeah hotel gyms get busy when there are 20 athletes in one hotel but it's fine you will get used to it soon" he said as he kissed me

"lance not here it's awkward" i said in his ear

"why the drivers know we are dating" he said

"still i need to make a good first impression as a team mate ok i need to finish my training now" i said as i gave him a quick kiss

"ok bye i love you" he said

saturday night friday and today went great the car was amazing and it was so fast i got the 5th starting position today which shocked me i couldn't believe i got that for my first ever qualifying. all of the guys were so nice they all congratulated me and it felt so surreal to have that power as the only woman on the grid. i was in my room and charles was coming soon to have movie night something we always did before a race when we had F3 and F2. but i missed him in this moment so i opened my favourites on camera roll and scrolled up to one of the videos.
