All Adam could remember was the fact that he was having a deep conversation with Julie, and suddenly he felt deeply exhausted. He tried his best to fight it, but everything went fuzzy.
He woke up, dazed, in a horse's trailer. Was he back in the trailer with Juniper? No, he couldn't be. There were ropes around him and he felt someone against his back. He turned his neck to look back and see Julie, limp, but breathing. His heart raced. What was going on? Was Julie okay? He thought of any way to get out of the ropes, and he remembered a pocket knife he'd grabbed before they separated from the others. The others— what happened to them? Where were they? We're they okay? They'd be worried sick! How long were they gone!? He grabbed the knife and cut the ropes. He dragged Julie over to the wall of the trailer and rested her there. "C'mon, Julie wake up. We have to get out of here." He begged. Julie grumbled and her eyes slowly opened. "Adam?"
"Hey, Julie. I don't know where we are, but we're not with the others. We have to get out of this trailer." He advised. Julie stretched her arms. "Mable was saying something over the walkie-talkie, but everything went fuzzy. I think she was warning us of something." Julie stated.
"What do you remember her saying?" Adam questioned.
"Something that started— oh no."
"What?"
"Something that started with Bar." She finished. Adam's mind felt like it would explode. We're they just kidnapped by Bartholomew Rithers? "Bartholomew. C'mon, it's time to make a plan."
Adam helped Julie to her feet, and they started planning an escape.
