A tear trickled down Alex's cheek as she hung up another missing poster. "We're going to find Adam and Julie. I promise." Mable assured Alex. It had been two days since Julie and Adam had gone missing, while they were in the lab. They saved the world, and no one could find them. Today, people were starting to act like them selves, after almost everyone on earth had been mutated into a mutant zombie from a leaked gas in an old science lab. Mable and Alex we're back in their home town, hanging missing posters everywhere. Mable was convinced that she saw their old enemy in the lab, but she didn't share it with Alex, because she didn't want to cause her more worry. Please be okay, you guys. She prayed. They walked down the streets, hanging posters and Mable patted Alex on the shoulder, comforting her. "They couldn't have just disappeared. Somethings happened to them.. but what? What if they're dead? What if a weird creature got them?" Alex stressed.
"They're going to be fine! Julie would never let anything hurt her, and Neither would Adam. He's definitely dumb enough to get himself killed, but he's good at protecting Julie." Mable assured her. Alex nodded, grimly. They stopped at Alex's house and they headed inside. Alex set the posters on the countertop and they headed into Alex and Julie's room. "So, do you know where Juniper went?" Alex asked, bringing up a touchy subject for Mable. Their pet, Juniper had disappeared the other day, and they couldn't find her. Mable had searched all over for her, but just couldn't find her. She was starting to wonder if maybe something had happened to Juniper. "No." Mable replied. They sat in silence for a moment until they heard a crackle on their walkie-talkie. Hope surged through Mable's body as she grabbed the device. "Hello? Julie? Adam? Can you hear me?" She asked, urgently. The walkie-talkie crackled and a weak voice answered. "We-were alive." The voice managed. Mable and Alex both were shaking as the walkie-talkie fell to the ground. All they knew, was that Julie and Adam were alive.
