Kou's POV

I felt Nic move for the millionth time that night. "Ughhhh, I just want to sleep" she muttered as I opened my eyes. "Are you okay? Do we need to go to the hospital?" I asked her loudly, the mention of hospital woke Kei and Tetsuro up. "Hospital? Are you in labor love?" Tetsuro asked her as he and Kei sat up and stretched. "I'm not in labor, just having trouble sleeping" she said as they nodded. "Is there anything we can do to help you?" Kei asked her as she shook her head no. "I don't think so, I am just over being pregnant" Nic said as she got out of bed and went to the bathroom. "So much better" I heard Nic say as she finished her business and went to wash her hands. She was walking back to bed when I heard a gush of liquid splash on the floor. I looked up to see her staring at us with wide eyes. After a few moments she was able to utter "my water just broke" to us. We immediately dashed out of the bed and rushed over to where she was standing.

"Are you feeling okay?" Kei asked as he helped steady Nic. "I feel fineeeee" she said as a contraction ran through her body. "I'm definitely in labor, I'm gonna have a baby soon" Nic said as I sat her down on the edge of the bed. "I need to change" she said as I stared at her like she had a third eye. "You're delivering a baby not attending a fashion show" I exclaimed. "I'm not wearing any pants Kou" she told me as that realization hit me. "Right right" I said as I went and got a pair of stretchy pants for her. "Here" I said as I handed them to Nic. "I'm in no position to put pants on right now, you are going to have to help me" she said as I nodded and put them on her. "Fuck" Nic said as she felt another contraction. "Is anyone timing the contractions?" She asked as I pulled out my phone and started getting ready to time the next one. "The car is ready to go" I heard Kei yell as I helped Nic to her feet and down the stairs to the car. She was actually about to have our baby.

Tetsuro helped Nic in the car while Kei climbed in the driver seat and started the car. "Hurry up and call Tooru's mom, I want her there" Nic yelled as she had a contraction. "On it" Tetsuro said as he called her. "She'll meet us there" he added as he hung up the phone. "Call Kenma, Lila, Rory, Keiji, Tooru, and Hajime" Nic asked as we raced to the hospital. "Got it" he said as he called them and told me they would meet us there. "We're here" Kei said as he parked the car and helped Nic out and to the hospital. "Hi my wife is having a baby" I yelled as the nurse got a wheelchair and they helped Nic into it. "Fuck" she said as another contraction ripped through her body. "Holy shit it hurts" Nic yelled out in pain. "You are so strong, you got this" Kei said as he kissed Nic's forehead. "I love you but fuck off" Nic said as they wheeled her to a room. "Nic, I'm here" I heard Mrs Oikawa say as she ran into the hospital. "Hana, thank goodness you're here" Nic said as she followed us to the room.

In the hospital room

"We need you to change into this and then we will check how dilated you are Nic" the nurse said as she handed Nic a hospital gown. "Can you guys help me?" Nic asked us as we walked over and helped her get changed. "This is it, we are about to be parents" Kei said as he started to cry. "I can't believe I am going to be a mom" Nic said as we put the gown on her. The doctor walked in the room and introduced himself. "Hi Nic, I'm Dr Milan, I'll be delivering your daughter today" he said as I nodded. "Let's see how dilated you are" he said as he examined her. "You are 6 centimeters dilated, you need to be at least 10 centimeters to be able to start pushing" he said as she nodded. "Would you like anything to feel more comfortable?" Dr Milan asked Nic. "Something to eat please?" She asked him as he nodded. "Does a sandwich sound good to you?" He asked. "Yes, that sounds amazing" Nic said as he went and got her a sandwich. She took a bite and started to look calm and relaxed.

"Are you ready to be a mom to our little girl? I asked Nic as she smiled. "You are going to be an amazing mother Nic, your daughter is such a lucky little girl" Hana said as she smiled at Nic. "That's what I've been told" Nic said as she smiled. "Because it's true" I said as I kissed her cheek. "I hope you're right" she said as she had another contraction. "We are" Kei said as he brushed her hair off her forehead. "Good" she said as she drank some water. "Your mom would be proud of you Nic" Hana said as Nic smiled. "She'd be overjoyed that I was here right now, she'd be happy for me to being having my own daughter to dote on" Nic exclaimed as she felt more pain. "It's been a fucking hour, where's my fucking Dr" she yelled as he walked through the doorway. "Right here, let's see how you look now?" Dr Milan said as he examined her again. "Congratulations Nic, you are officially ready to have your first child" he said as Nic smiled, she had wanted this for so long and even came close. But now it was happening.
