We took shadow home, shadow was very weak but I could tell he was getting better...

"Hey shadow" I said to him "how you feeling?"

He groaned "better than before...thanks to you and silver"

Both I and silver smiled as we hugged Shadow...

"You don't know how scared I was when I heard you were held captive by that bald ass eggman" silver said

"So was I, I was so panicked...but...rouge" I sadly turned away "why would she do something like that, why would she help eggman"

Shadow's voice softens than usual "I don't know sonic...maybe she decided to move on from you lot because she felt she deserved something better"

"So working with eggman and kidnapping you is better?" I said rolling my eyes

"No, she was completely wrong for this..but everyday she would tell me 'i think I deserve more than what I have now...I need to see the outside world more often and maybe move on and just leave my friends' she says that almost everytime" shadow explained

"I still don't get why she worked with eggman though, even without telling us she was leaving...I wouldn't expect anyone to tell us if you're working with an enemy, like are you just gonna come in 'Omg guys, I'm working for our enemy and guess who it is, it's eggman, aren't y'all happy for me' absolutely not! Who would even have the courage to do so..but she should've at least told us she didn't want to be a part of our team anymore" I said sadly kicking a rock

Shadow placed his hand on my shoulder "I get how you feel sonic and it hurts for me too, since maria died..I was heartbroken and devastated and since then rouge had always been there for me... it'sike she understands my inner thoughts better than anyone, aside from you and silver of course, she can never understand me like you do...all I'm saying is that she was better than this.. working for eggman is a new level low " shadow said and I felt he was truly hurt
