Lydia Martin walked down the street with Stiles Stilinski at her side as Damon and Melony ran up ahead, playfully shoving each other. They were on their way to the city park, babysitting. But since the night Lydia kissed Stiles on the cheek, they have been spending a lot of time together wether it was babysitting, cleaning, making breakfast, or even just going for a walk. It didn't matter, they were together. Life just seemed flawless in the moment. Scott and Allison were back home from the hospital and living their happy life, Stiles got a job with his dad, Malia got a job at the holding cells as a guard, and Lydia was in a place she never thought she could be in.

"I don't know what to do to make her like me," Stiles interrupted Lydia's train of thoughts. Lydia raised an eyebrow and looked confusingly at Stiles.

"Who?" Lydia questioned.

"Melony," Stiles continued. "I've been trying to spend as much time as I can with her but she just ignores me or runs away."

"Ohh," Lydia said in a bit of disappointment. She has seen how Stiles is putting so much effort into creating a relationship with Melony, but knows her daughter sill can't stand the sight of Stiles Stilinski. "You just have to give her some time, a lot of time."

"It's been weeks since the fight between me and Aiden and she just doesn't want to give me a chance. I just want to help her." Stiles said as he looked up at Melony and Damon who were now walking side by side, deep in their conversations.

"She doesn't want help, not unless it come from Scott or Allison." Lydia said plainly. When Allison came back from the hospital, she went right to Lydia's room and told her everything. Melony was a rare banshee, one who can imagine someone's death and that's what will happen to them. Allison's was an accident, she was just so frustrated with Lydia that she imagined something horrible happening to someone she loved and that happened to be Allison. Since then, Allison and Scott have been trying to help her control her anger so nothing of the same situation can happen again and help her with her strength since she will have the pros of being half werewolf.

"It scares me." Stiles said slowly.

"Why?" Lydia asked, dead serious as she stopped and grabbed Stiles by the arm, making him stop as well. Lydia looked him in the eyes, her cheeks flushing pink as Stiles thumb gently stroked her hand.

"Because I know if Melony never accepts me, I can never be with you." Stiles said, his eyes glazed over. " I mean, I can never be part of your life of course." Stiles quickly said after he realized what he had just said.

"Stiles I-" Lydia began, her mouth becoming dry. She didn't know what to say.

"Mommy, come on! I want to swing before it becomes too hot!" Melony screamed, saving Lydia. Lydia cleared her throat and looked at the kids.

"We should probably go." Lydia said walking away from Stiles. Stiles just nodded his head as he watched Lydia's tiny frame move away from him.

"Mommy, push me." Melony said as they approached the swings. Lydia sighed.

"Baby, you should really swing on your own. Mommy just wants to sit down for a while." Lydia said using her sweet voice. Melony mumbled to herself as she kicked the dirt lightly that was around the swings.

"Uh, I'll push you, if you want." Stiles said calmly, as he stood next to Lydia. Melony quickly looked up to Stiles, narrowing her eyes, as if she was thinking of a life or death situation. Stiles squirmed under Melony's gaze and he just tapped his phone in his hand and looked around.

"Okay," Melony said finally. "I accept." Stiles smiled as he walked to the swing sets after Melony and Damon. He looked back at Lydia and gave her a big thumbs up nodding his head in great achievement. Lydia started laughing quietly to herself, not wanting to set off or do anything to make Melony change her mind. Lydia sat down and leaned back on her arms, putting her shades over her eyes.

Lydia watched as Melony giggled with joy as she went higher and higher. Stiles chuckled and laughed along with her, and Damon joined in, but was currently angry because Stiles was pushing Melony higher than him. Damon stopped the swing and asked Melony if she wanted to play tag. Melony cringed her face before agreeing to it. Stiles stopped the swing for her and she jumped off, tagging Damon before she took off running.

"Hey Stiles, I'm going to head towards the bathroom really fast. Mind watching the kids?" Lydia asked as she stood off and dusted herself off.

"Oh yeah no problem." Stiles shrugged as he sat down. And as Lydia turned away he grabbed her hand and she looked back. "I think she's going to start giving me a chance. I think she might like me." Stiles said as she smiled. Lydia smiled back.

"I knew she would." She said quietly as she walked away, the biggest smile plastered on her face and butterfly's in her stomach. Maybe, just maybe Stiles Stilinski can be an important person for Melony just as he was for her.
