One year later
"Babe, can you go wake Melony? I got to finish packing." Lydia's voice rang out as she grabbed some plastic containers from the new pantries they had just installed in their new home just as a half asleep Stiles made his way downstairs. Stiles groaned as he rubbed his heavy eyes and walked over to her and placed a soft kiss on her cheek. An immediate smile slowly forming on her face as he nuzzled his head into her neck, his arms wrapping around her waist.
"How about we just go back to bed and cuddle? I mean doesn't that sound so much better?" Stiles said as he have a mischievous look. Lydia laughed as she turned around in his arms until she was now face to face with him and she leaned up towards his ear and whispered:
"I think that's what you said that got us into a bit of a situation," Lydia eyes moved down to her abdomen. Stiles eyes sparkled with mischief and pride as he laid his strong hands on Lydia's little bump of a stomach. Lydia tilted her head slightly and smiled down at Stiles.
"You know I think you're right," Stiles chuckled as he placed dozens of quick little kisses on Lydia's tummy. "But I wouldn't say it wasn't a good idea. I mean, we're having a baby." Stiles said as he fully stood up and looked into Lydia's perfectly green eyes. Lydia grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and pulled him down into a kiss, slowly deepening it as every second ticked by. "I love you," Stiles mumbled against Lydia's soft lips. Lydia smiled and opened her eyes.
"I love you too." She said softly.
"And I love you too!" A small voice interrupted the moment, and they both looked over to see Melony standing at the bottom of the stairs, smiling, her blue eyes shining with joy. Stiles let go if Lydia as he made his way over towards Melony, crouching down to her level and then picking her up, twirling her in the air before setting her down onto his waist, giving her a tight hug.
"And where's my kiss this morning?" Stiles said as he stuck his right cheek towards her, making Melony roll her eyes and giggle just as she placed a sweet little kiss on his cheek. "Ah, there it is." Stiles said as he smiled to her and gave her a big loud kiss on her cheek as well.
"Ew!" Melony squirmed and she giggled some more, trying to get away. "That was a bad kiss!" She said as she squirmed out of his hands and walked over to Lydia. "Good morning mommy," she said as she stood on her tippy toes and gave her mom a kiss, and then kissed her belly. "Hi baby."
"Morning sweetheart," Lydia laughed as she turned back around and started to put away some plastic containers.
"Are we going to have a picnic?" Melony asked as she walked over to Stiles, who was now sitting and sat down on his lap and watched her mother.
"No, I'm just looking for something." Lydia said as she opened another pantry. "I seem to have lost my key?" Lydia said as she was rummaging through everything. Then she spotted something. Two little black box, in the corner of where all the knifes and spoons were. Lydia raised an eyebrow as she grabbed them and held them up. "What are these?" Stiles, who had been playing with Melony's hair , looked up and quickly shot up from his chair, nearly dropping Melony.
"Ugh, um- well you see-I mean-ugh!" Stiles let out a frustrated sigh as he closed his eyes and then walked over to Lydia slowly. "You weren't supposed to find them." He said as he gently grabbed the boxes from Lydia's hand, meeting her eyes and giving a side, almost embarrassed smile. Lydia eyebrow raised even more and she put her hand on her hip.
"What do you mean?" She asked, maintaining eye contact with Stiles, not even batting an eyelash.
"Well, you see," Stiles said as he clasped one small box into his now sweaty hands and looked down at it, and put the other in his pant pocket, "I've meaning to ask you a question?" He said as his eyes peeked up, and Lydia's mouth opened in shock.
