Damon's eyes opened slowly, looking into nothing but pitch black. He groaned a little, his little body aching as he pushed himself up to his elbows. He looked around, trying to see his surroundings but it was so dark, and so cold. Damon touched the thing nearest to him and pushed himself up, balancing against the hard stone wall. He then started to slowly feel his way around the room and guessed he was in a cell.

"Hey," Damon bravely called out, hoping his voice didn't shake. "I don't know what you want, but my dad will find me and he's going to make sure you pay for this."

"Damon," he heard his name being gasped out. There was a sudden movement somewhere near by. "Damon," the voice called again. Damon whipped his head to his left, walking slowly to the stone wall that separated him from the mysterious voice. Again, another movement, this time a sound of a bucket falling followed.

"Who are you?" Damon asked as he backed away a little, shivers running down his arms.

"It's me, Melony!" The fragile voice rang through the corridors. Damon instantly ran back to the wall and placed his head carefully on it. He could suddenly hear the rapid beats of her heart rate, and how raspy her breath was.

"Melony, are you okay?" He asked as he pulled back and wrapped his arms around himself.

"I- I don't know." Melony said shakily. "I can't see anything."

"It's okay," Damon said in a reassuring tone, "just sit back down. I'm sure our parents are already coming to find us. Don't worry." He said as he took his own advice and sat against the stone wall. Melony nodded even though she knew Damon could see her, and did as she was told.

"Smart boy," a voice suddenly rang out, starling both Melony and Damon. The lights suddenly turned on, causing both kids to squint as they tried to see who was in front of them. As Damon squinted, he was able to confirm he was in deed in a cell. He looked around and saw how spacious the cells were, and saw everything was stone except for the barred gate that let him look out to see the women dressed in all black. "And good thing too because I wouldn't want to keep you two here for too long. I hear you both have quite a claustrophobic problem." The lady said coldly. "I tried to find a really spacious place so you won't feel too trapped." She smirked.

"You're Kira, aren't you?" Melony asked, fear no longer in her voice but annoyance.

"Yeah, did your mom tell you about me." Kira asked, almost like a joke. "We used to be good friends you know."

"Yeah, well she didn't say anything good about you." Melony snapped back.

"I see you got your moms attitude. Not such a great quality you know?" Kira said rhetorically.

"Actually, I got my dads attitude, but my moms sarcasm. They're both amazing qualities." Melony sai as she smiled a fake sweet smile. Kira rolled her eyes.

"And you?" She asked looking at Damon. "What are you like? I hope your like your father, good guy." She said with a smile smile. "Did you know we used to date? It was a good time, we had a lot of fun." Kira rambled on.

"Look, I have the skills of my mom but the heart of my dad. That's all you need to know." Damon snapped at her. Kira laughed and then walked up to the barred gate that was the only thing standing between himself and her.

"You don't need to be sassy, soon this will all be over." She said as she trailed her fingers on the bars as she walked towards Melony.

"Hey, leave her alone. Don't talk to her." Damon shouted as he heared Melony's heart beat suddenly pick up. Damon pulled on the barred gate with fury. Kira walked back rapidly and reached towards him, sending him scrambling back before she could touch him. Kira retrieved her hand back and glared at the eight, almost nine year old boy.

"Listen kid," Kira hollered. "You need to stop talking because I can make things turn ugly really fast. You understand?" She snarled. Damon looked down before nodding in agreement. "Now, as I was going to say before I was interrupted, how are you feeling Melony?"

"Not-not good." Stuttered Melony. "My leg, it's starting to hurt." Melony said shakily. Kira frowned.

"I know, that's the shock rubbing off." She gave a sympathetic smile. "You see when you ran away I panicked because I didn't expect you to run, so I went after you and you threw a lamp at me. When I finally caught you and started the fire, you tried to crawl away and crawled on the shattered pieces. I didn't realize until you fainted from shock and I didn't have anything to heal you with so I left you alone because that meant the pain wouldn't come until later." Melony laughed through the pain, she couldn't help it. Not just a few minutes ago this lady was threatening Damon and now she's here giving explanations. Kira kind side quickly turned into deadly looks as she stood straighter. "What so funny?" Kira scoffed.

"Nothing it's just ," Melony cringed as she tried to sit up even more, "you're a psycho."

"You want to see psycho, fine I'll show you psycho." Kira said as she quickly started to rush to the cell and started to play with the lock. Melony pushed herself back, screaming in pain with every movement of her leg.

"Hey!" Damon suddenly chimed in. "I said don't touch her!" His hands reaching out the bars, frantically waving as it was his only option. He was thinking the worst and thought Kira was going to kill her. But Kira had already started to back away with a big smirk on her face.

"Don't worry Damon," she cooed. "I wasn't going to hurt your precious little friend." Kira said as she started to walk away towards where she came in from. "But like I said, I know you both are claustrophobic, especially her, and instead of being the nice host, I'll be the mean one." Kira stopped at the entry way. "No air conditioner. And in case you didn't know, this place warms up really fast. See you later." Kira twirled around and was about to shut the lights off again, but looked over her shoulder. "Oh yeah, I forgot you guys are kids. No cool air makes everything seem nice and tight, pretty soon you'll go mad." She laughed and turned the lights off, leaving Damon and Melony in a self panic and nothing but darkness.

"Damon," Melony whispered, tears in her eyes. "Do you think our parents will get to us in time?" She asked, wiping a tear away.

"Yes, of course they will." Damon grunted reassuringly, no hesitation in his voice as she sat back down against the stone wall. He couldn't see Melony, but he knew she was nodding her head, convincing herself he was telling the truth. "I hope." He said under his breath, loud enough for only he could hear himself.
