Break in (part three)

Y/ns pov:
Today it rained alot
And it was pretty boring
Simon left one month ago for his work
It took him awhile to open up to me about his job
but i got him to trust me about it
he told me he was a British SAS soldier and a part of a task force
it explained some stuff..
I didn't have anything to do today so i thought about baking
But i decided to bake after dinner
since it was about time i began to cook
I walked into the kitchen and began to make dinner
I decided to make some pasta
It was usually my go to dinner
The thing was that i only knew how to make a bigger portion unfortunately
But it was good i guess since sometimes i don't have the energy to cool lunch or dinner the next day
So i would just heat up some left over pasta.

Just as i set my plate on the small dining table i heard the doorbell ring
i got confused because i have no one that would visit me
I thought it could be Simon
Be he said he usually stays two months
I walked to the front door with a small knife i brought with me just incase
I opened the door a small crack and peaked to see who it was
i saw it was Simon
I threw the knife i had on the couch and smiled as i opened the door more while moving to the side to let him in
"Hey peach" he said and walked in
"Hi simon" i said with a small smile on my face
"I thought you'd be back in two months?" I asked
"Not always" he said
i nodded my head
"Your lucky i made some extra pasta" i said and took his hand to lead him to the dining table in my kitchen
he followed behind me
"Have a seat i'll serve you" i said
he sat across from the plate that was infront of my seat
I took out an extra plate and filled his plate
I made sure to get lots of chicken bits for him
as i was done I placed the plate in front of him with a fork
"Thanks" he said
"Your welcome" i said
"What would you like to drink?" I asked
i felt excited that i was finally not gonna spend another night or dinner alone
"Anythings alright" he said
i opened my fridge and looked through it
i saw some strawberry juice
I took it out and poured some in two decorated glasses
There was small strawberries on it so i thought it would be perfect
Especially with the pink colour of the juice
I placed one infront of him and one infront of me as i finally sat down
"Whats this?" He asked pointing at the juice
"Strawberry juice..would you like something else?" I asked
"No no i was just wondering what it was since it had a different color" he said
I nodded
He lifted up his mask to his nose and we both began to eat the pasta
"Your the best cook i know"he said
I smiled shyly
Little does he know he's the best human I've met
I honestly don't even know what we are
Like a couple? or friends or something?
...
"Simon?" I said
"Hmmm?" He said
"What do you think we are?" I asked
"What do you mean?" He asked with a confused look in his eyes
"Like are we friends? Or a couple?-" i said but got cut off
"Were married." He said
my eyebrows raised
"Are we?" I asked sarcastically
he nodded
"Your my wife and im your husband" he said and winked at me
"You've never proposed?" I asked
"How do you know?, im thinking about it..and maybe I'll propose next break."
(Next time he gets back from work)
i got butterflies at the thought
"We've only known each other for like a month and a few days..." i said
"Feels like a lot more than that to me.." he said
I nodded my head and smiled again
he was honestly such a sweet person
i loved his company and enjoyed it so much
I get excited as soon as he opens his mouth to say something
hopefully i'll get to see his full face soon
It doesn't matter much at this point
I felt so happy and good around him..
I feel so alive... in his presence
"Love?" Simon said
"Yes?" I said
"You alright?"he asked
He must've noticed me zoning out
"Yes honey" i said
He nodded

After dinner
I was washing the dishes while Simon wiped the table and cleaned the mess i made earlier while cooking the pasta
how sweet of him, right?
I finished the dishes and Simon finished what he was doing
"What do we do now?" I asked him
"I don't know... you don't even have a TV in here" he said
I rolled my eyes at him
"Think of something" i said
"What do you wanna do?" He asked
"I don't know" i said
He stayed silent
"Wanna go out?" He asked
"No it's raining" i said
"Want to bake something?" I asked him
he thought about it and seemed hesitant like he didn't want to do it
"Sure" he said
"You don't have to if you don't want to" i said in a soft voice
"no it's ok seems more fun with you" he said and winked again
I smiled
"What should we bake?" I asked
"Pumpkin pie" he said
I laughed
"I already have pumpkin pie in the fridge, if you wanna eat it go ahead" i said
"Cool i'll save it for later" he said
I nodded
"Cupcakes?" He asked
"Good idea" i said
i began to take out the stuff we needed for the cup cake batter
Flour, sugar , eggs and the other stuff we needed
Simon stood behind me watching as i took out the measuring cups
"Come here" i said
He stood next to me now
"Pour two of these in here" i said and handed him he measuring cup while pointing towards the flour and the bowl
He got the flour and filled the measuring cup
He showed it to me
"Like this?" He asked
I nodded
he poured it in the bowl
"One more" i said
He went back and did the same as earlier
"Now?" He asked
I kept telling him what to add and after he was done with the dry base/mix
He began to work on the wet base/mix
Few moments later he was done with the wet base and poured it into the dry base
and he began to mix everything now
He gently mixed everything together with a whisk , being careful for it not go everywhere
"Im going to make the frosting" i said
He nodded his head
I again took out all the things i need to start making the frosting
