I sat with my hands between my thighs as my question got ignored again
I sighed and leaned back on the couch
Next to me was simon that was laying down
not answering me pretending he was falling asleep
I wasn't buying it
"You honestly suck..." i said
he sighed and sat up as he realized i wasn't buying it
"What is it?" He asked and rubbed my arm
"When are you retiring?" I asked

That question was more annoying than anything to Simon
especially when it comes from his wife...
he would love the idea of living peacefully with his wife somewhere far..
But theres no way with the sights hes seen
or the things he had done
Or the things he has gone through
Or the amount of enemy's hes had
he knows he'll never live peacefully again
He doesn't know exactly how to explain it to his wife y/n

He sighed and rubbed his face
"I don't know...soon" he said trying to convince me
"When exactly?" I asked
"I said i don't know y/n..." he said
I sighed and continued to look at nothing
he laid back down

It was bed time now and i'm still upset with simon
I laid down on the bed with the covers over me
Simon walked out of the bathroom and sat on the bed
"Wanna watch a movie?" He asked
"No" i said and closed my eyes
he sighed
"Why are you so upset?" He asked and turned around
I opened my eyes and gave him a glare
he didn't say anything
"Why do you want me to retire so bad?" He asked
"Are you seriously asking me that?!" I yelled
he sighed

Simon knew exactly why y/n wanted him to retire so badly..
Y/n was afraid to loose him
he also didn't want y/n to spend the rest of her life probably crying over his grave
But he can't leave his work...
He can't help it
his whole life was work.

"Please y/n try to understand me.." he said
i sat up
"Sweetie i do understand you , i know that your whole life is work and all but you also have to understand me.." i said
He stayed quiet
"Atleaset give me an idea of maybe when you will retire?" I said
"10 years" he said
Oh my god
Is he serious
I shot him a glare again and laid back down
I heard him groan
"Fine. 8" he said
Another glare
"Two." I said
"WHAT?!" He yelled
i stayed quiet in shock
He cleared his throat
"Sorry.... I can't retire in two years!" He said
"Why not?!" I said
"Y/n i can't!" He said
"Yes you can!" I said
"No I can't...why don't you understand?!" He said
"Why?! I do understand!" I said
"Enough of this crap shut up and go to sleep!" He said
I was so angry at this point
And i was a little hurt from his words
How could he say that to me?
i laid down and turned my back to him and closed my eyes to sleep
Although i didn't want us to sleep upset with each other
since he's leaving tomorrow
but what ever
He's the one that told me to shut up and sleep

The next day
I sat up from my bed and looked around
Simon was no where to be seen
i looked back at the clock
He left 3 hours ago...
he usually woke me up to tell him goodbye and make him breakfast before he leaves
But this time he didn't
He was still upset with me i guess..
I looked in the laundry basket where he had put his clothes
What ever i didn't do anything wrong anyway
I got up and went downstairs to make myself break fast

2 weeks later
Its been two weeks since simon left
I tried calling him alot of times but he didn't answer
Like he ever did
I did get a little worried but I distracted myself from thinking about it..
I hated the fact that it's possible that was the last time i've ever seen him
And the last thing he had ever told me
I was very scared of losing him without saying goodbye or i love you
I sighed and continued watching his favorite movie
it reminded me of him so it was kinda bad
But it was comforting...
