Chapter 7

DUSTIN'S POINT OF VIEW

My roomate came back from the mall at 5:00. I could tell by his stride that he was tired. It must be hell working as a security guard, what with the signing today, it was probably pure chaos. Jack collapsed on the couch next to me. He sighed heavily, and I just stared at him as he closed his eyes. I turned my head back to the TV. I was currently watching spongebob. Sometimes, it just reminds me of my childhood, the good times with my little brother. My eyes glazed over as I thought about him. He was only six years old when he died. And I was 18 when I crashed into the tree, killing him. I could remember the hatred and the horror on my parents faces when they came to the hospital and saw his delicate body, covered in blood and bruises. He lay on the hospital bed, not moving, nor breathing. I remembered this day like it was only yesterday. Not a day goes by when I don't think of tommy, and how I'm the reason that he isn't here right now. Small sobs overcame my body, my entire body shook uncontrollably. The hot tears stung in my eyes as they overflowed my eyelashes. The tears fell in a pittering pattern on my read khaki shorts. Jack was now looking at me sympathetically, he probably knew the reason for my tears.

"It's not your fault," He tried to comfort me.

I shook my head, "Your wrong,"

I stood up and walked briskly to my room, and I shut the door, quickly locking it. I pushed my back the door, and slid down it, placing my head in my hands, letting the sobs completely overtake my body.

ANNA'S POINT OF VIEW

I woke up from my nap to realize that it was 6:00.

"Oh shit," I muttered as I quickly stood out of bed. I walked over to my closet and searched through all of my dresses. I finally came to the one I was looking for. I pulled out the white dress. It had White bows going up the spine of the dress. The top of the dress was plane white, with spaghetti straps. The skirt flared out from the waist, like a little cupcake top. I walked over to the bathroom, and washed all of the makeup off of my face so I could re-do it all. I applied a light bronzer with some blush. For my eyes, I used a creamy, tan eye shadow that blended with my skin tone. I used my liquid eyeliner to give myself cat eyes. Lastly I applied bright red lipstick to match the red vans I pulled on next. I grabbed my brush and pulled my long brown hair up into a high pony tail. I looked at my phone to see that it was 6:10. Just then I got a text from Dustin...

Hey, umm where exactly am I picking u up?

Love, Dustin xx

I responded telling him our address and to push the visitor button when he got here. I walked into my room, and over to my closet. I fished around in my top drawer until I found what I had been looking for. I took the red bandana and folded into a headband. Then i tied it in a knot, making a cute little bow. I slipped this on my head, pulling my pony tail out from underneath it. I checked my phone again to see that he would be here in a few minutes. I rushed back to my bathroom and grabbed my toothbrush. I squirted the toothpaste onto my brush and began vigorously brushing. I heard Kavya yell my name and I spit into the sink. I wiped my face and walked out of the room to see Dustin awkwardly standing in the door way with Emma Kameron and Kavya all staring at him, lust filling their eyes.

"Hey" I said as I walked towards the door. As I got closer to the door, Kavya turned to me and mouthed 'oh my god' I smiled at her and walked up to Dustin.

"You ready to go?" He asked me, breaking the awkward silence. I nodded and stepped between Em and Kam. I shut the door behind me as I left my apartment with my friends still standing there in shock. We drove in silence, just listening to the radio. Soon a song came on that I recognized, but didn't know. it was the song I heard when Melissa drove me home from work. It was a catchy song, and I hummed along, lost in thought. I didn't even notice that we had stopped moving until Dustin spoke up,
