Hecate's POV
After telling So how did she end up in the hospital, she seemed quite shocked, but at the same time, worried.
"Wait, so how long have I been here?"
"I would say, almost a day."
"Are they letting me go right now?
"I don't really think so. I overheard the doctor telling Ada you are going to be kept here for a few more hours. Just to check you are ok to go, and they're going to give you the potions that avoid you getting sick of some magical sicknesses."
"Damn. Nyxstar an..."she started saying, but she stopped mid sentence. "Nyxstar is surely really hungry. Could you please feed her?"
"Sure."
"Thank you. The food is near my desk. Oh, and if you could fill the other bowl with the other bag of food, it would be great." Why would the cat need to bowls of food? She must have noticed my distrust, so she added: "She... gets really hungry sometimes. So I give her another bowl for when I'm not around. And it's healthier food, so that's why it's in another bag." I wasn't really convinced about what she was telling me, but she was certainly not going to say more, so I told her I would be right back and disappeared from the hospital.
I was already in her bedroom so it didn't take me long to find the food. I grabbed the two bags and served a bit of each in the corresponding bowl. As I was going to appear at the hospital again, I saw Nyxstar approaching to the black one and eating peacefully. She had grown quite a lot since she was a kitten, playing with her little rat toy in my bedroom whilst being watched by Morgana. It was just those few seconds I stayed behind that made me find out about it. If I hadn't, who knows if anyone would have, for how good she had been at hiding it. When I was watching the young cat eat, I saw some movement next to her. Some food began disappearing from the red bowl next to her. I approached to it and hoped it wasn't what I thought it was. As I performed a spell to reveal the unseen, a male dog appeared eating the food. He must have felt the magic, because the white small poodle suddenly stopped eating and looked at me. He barked, ran over and started jumping at me, being friendly. How... and why would she keep a dog at Cackle's?! It was strictly forbidden to have any other pets at this school. How did non of the us, the staff, find out about this before?! The little dog was still jumping at me, insistently begging to be petted. I teleported him to the hospital, at the same time as I appeared there. I didn't care if dogs were allowed or not in there. This needed an explanation.
Sofía was lying in bed when she saw I was back. A bark was heard and as she looked down, she saw the dog running to her bed.
"Fito!" she exclaimed. Then, she opened her eyes wide and looked at me as she picked the dog from the floor. "Oh. Right."
"Why were you so foolish to bring a dog to Cackle's?! You know it's forbidden! You have to get rid of him."
"NO! You can't force me to!" she screamed back. Ada, the doctor and her non-magical teachers entered the room, probably after hearing the shouting.
"What did you expect it would happen when we found out? Nothing?"
"I never wanted you to find out! All you had to do was put the food in the bowls, why did you stay behind? You wouldn't have known that way!"
"When did I start taking orders from you?! I can do whatever it pleases me to!"
"As long as you don't interfere with what is my own business, sure you can!"
"You seem to think that rules do not apply to you, but you will learn, Sofía, you will if you intend to stay at Cackle's." I said in anger. She stood silent for a moment while tears started rolling down her eyes before she spoke again. And even if this time she didn't yell back at me, I could tell that it was what hurt her the most.
