"My my, look what I found, a little boy on the ground and a little girl with a knife to her throat." The man said in a whisper.
I glared at him. I looked at Kris to see she was beginning to cry as the knife kept getting closer to her throat.
"Let her go!" I screamed. I got up from the ground only to be kicked in the stomach.
I gasped as I fell to the floor holding my stomach. What the hell is going on?! Why us?!
"My my, " I heard a small grunt and leaves crackle as he threw Kris to the ground. "The little boy is trying to be brave." He began to walk to me with a smirk on his face. At least Kris was safe away from that man.
I winced in pain as I felt him grip the top of my head by my hair, observing me.
"My my what soft hair you have."
What the hell?!
He looked at my face and that gave me an advantage..
I spit on his tanned face.
Bad idea.
My head snapped to the right as he punched me.
"Kat!"
"Kris go." My voice cracking the process.
"Kat.." "Just go!" I screamed.
She ran.
All I wanted was for her to be safe. That's all that mattered.
"My my you sure are brave, but you just gave your life away."
I fell into darkness..
