Tangled Emotions

In the depths of my heart, a battle begins,
Tangled emotions, a whirlwind within.
I yearn to forget him, to set my heart free,
Yet his memory lingers, haunting me.

His laughter, his smile, they still resonate,
A love that once bloomed, now sealed by fate.
I long to move on, to find a new start,
But his hold on my heart won't depart.

The moments we shared, so tender and sweet,
In dreams, they replay, our hearts used to beat.
I wrestle with feelings I can't comprehend,
Wanting to forget, yet not wanting it to end.

A part of me clings to the memories we made,
Afraid of the void if he starts to fade.
His presence still lingers, a bittersweet ache,
A love that once soared, now feels like a mistake.

I try to untangle my heart's fragile thread,
To move on from the love that was once widespread.
But deep down inside, I know it's not true,
For my heart still whispers, "I'm in love with you."

So here I stand, caught in this emotional storm,
Yearning to forget, yet cherishing what's warm.
Tangled emotions, a love that won't fade,
In my heart, his presence will forever be swayed.
