Seasons of Change

In the seasons of change, my heart does roam,
Through the highs and lows, I find my home,
Longing for you when I'm all alone,
In thoughts of life and love that's grown.

In tender moments of the past,
Our hearts entwined, emotions vast,
In secondary school, a memory vast,
You made me smile, my heart amassed.

But as life unfolded, paths diverged,
Different people, our lives surged,
I found others, my heart submerged,
In their love, my feelings urged.

Yet none could match the joy you brought,
A happiness in me, you somehow caught,
With you, a love that time forgot,
A connection true, a love I sought.

When relationships faltered, they'd fade away,
My thoughts turned to you, like night to day,
Wondering if we could've found our way,
Would heartbreak have been kept at bay?

But life's mysteries are never clear,
The roads we take, the choices we steer,
Through joy and sorrow, we persevere,
Hoping one day, you'd reappear.

So in the seasons of change, I'll wait,
For destiny's timing, for love's true fate,
For that one day, when it's not too late,
To find you again, my heart elate.

For in my heart, you'll always remain,
A love that's true, a gentle refrain,
Through every joy and every pain,
In the seasons of change, you're my eternal flame.
