Rainbow After Rain

In the haze of yesterday's tears,
I searched for a love that disappeared,
A chance encounter, a fleeting glance,
But you turned away, leaving me in a trance.

Regrets filled my heart, I should have spoken,
For in that moment, my heart was broken,
I thought we'd never meet again,
And my chance with you, I thought was in vain.

Yet little did I know, the universe conspired,
To bring us back together, our hearts rewired,
For in the midst of tears, a rainbow emerged,
Promising hope, as our love surged.

With every beat, my heart yearned for you,
The longing grew, strong and true,
In my dreams, you were always near,
A cherished memory, I held dear.

And then one day, in a twist of fate,
You came back into my life, my long-lost mate,
Regret and joy collided within,
As our paths crossed, like a dance we begin.

In your eyes, I saw the same reflection,
A spark of recognition, a shared connection,
The past may have been lost in time,
But our hearts, they sang in rhyme.

Oh, how I wish I had known back then,
That our story was not at its end,
For now I see, with clarity and grace,
Love's sweet embrace, lighting up my face.

In the rainbow after rain, I found you,
A love reborn, tried and true,
The universe, it smiled upon us that day,
