Chapter 8: Zeref?

Lucy's POV

Something is wrong with Natsu, since that Owleyes member surrounded him I can see something is wrong.

He finally find Jeskai and starts fighting but after receiving a punch from Jeskai something strange happens.

He's in the floor but he's not standing up

What's wrong Natsu?

Suddenly Zeref appears.

Zeref? What the hell is he doing here?

I can see he moves his mouth but since I'm watching Natsu with lacrima vision I can't heard. After Zeref finish mumbling I can hear a scream and gets surrounded by flames.

"Aaaaaahhhhhhh!"

Is Natsu, but his screaming to loud that I can hear him in the stadium. The poor guy of Grim Pistols gets burned by the fire and falls to the ground.

What's wrong with Natsu? Why did Zeref appeared? Somebody, help him.

Gray's POV

I finished fighting Ichiya and was fighting with Lyon when I heard Natsu screaming, and then a column of fire appeared. I looked at Lyon and run to where Natsu was, I was worried about him, this is not normal.

It seems that Erza had the same thought I had because I found her in my way to Natsu

"What's happening?"

"I don't know, something is wrong with Natsu."

We arrive to see Zeref standing in front of the fire column, mumbling things.

"What the hell are you doing?" I shout and throw an attack to him, but he disappears.

The fire disappears and Natsu is on the floor, Erza and I get closer.

"Natsu, are you okay?" Erza says

Natsu turns to face us but he's not Natsu. He has scales running through his back, part of his arms and face, he has brown horns in his head, marked fangs and red eyes.

"That damn.... Zeref" he says in a cold voice, nothing like Natsu's. "He... didn't let me.... finish the.... transformation."

Then his pupils dilate and starts growling, as if he's a wild animal.

"Natsu?" I say and he immediately attacks us.

Lucy's POV

Gray and Erza stopped their battles and run to see Natsu, Zeref disappears when they arrive, and the fire so.

Natsu stands and he has scales, horns, fangs and red eyes.

What the hell happened?

And he starts attacking Erza and Gray, he's too strong, and Erza & Gray fall quickly unconscious to the ground.

Natsu keeps walking towards his next victims, it looks like he doesn't have control over his body, like he's a wild animal.

Gajeel and Rogue are his next prey. He doesn't even give them the time to react, they just start burning and Natsu continues walking.

And like that he continues, talking whoever he finds in his way.

"I need to help him" I say quietly and run through the hallway.

"Lucy!" Lisanna runs behind me

"I need to help Natsu"

Lisanna stops running, I think she realized the same as me, Natsu is not Natsu anymore.

I get out of the arena and run through the streets of Crocus, I need to find Natsu, and I need to find him now!

Suddenly I see another column of fire and run to it. There he is, in th middle of the fire, he seems lost.

"I open thee, Gate of the Lion. Leo!" Like appears before me. "Star dress!"

Loke's star dress keeps me save from fire till some point.

"For what do you need me? Lucy"

"Ohh, don't worry I just needed the dress to enter the fire."

"I'm sorry, but I can't let you do that"

"Why not?!"

"The dress can't handle that much fire, also that fire is...mmmm.. how can I put it... evil"

"I'm sorry, but I'm going to enter I need to save Natsu."

I don't let Loke say more, and enter the fire.

Is really hot, I know my dress won't last much longer, but Natsu is infant of me. I can see he's suffering, and like a lost animal. His eyes are red and full of anger but if I look deeper I can see that he's scared.

I run to him and hug him.

"It's okay Natsu, I'm here for you."

I start feeling his muscles relaxing, his horns and scales disappear with the fangs and the red eyes.

But before falling unconscious he says: "He..lp......m...e"

He puts all his weight in me and I fall on my knees grabbing Natsu in my arms, since Natsu is heavier.
