Sodapop's P.O.V.
I walked into the living room of our house with Steve. We were just coming home from work. The entire gang was there. Darrel Curtis (who everyone calls Darry), my older brother and the oldest of the gang was sitting in his recliner reading the news paper. Ponyboy Curtis my kid brother was sitting on the couch reading one of his many books. Johnny Cade was sitting on the couch with Ponyboy and watching Mickey along with Two-bit Mathews, who was sitting on the floor in front of Johnny.
Darry looked up from his paper and said "hey Soda, Steve. How was work?"
I walked into the kitchen to get a coke and replied "it was fine same as it was yesterday"
I sat on the couch just as Dally walked in. Dallas Winston came and sat on the arm of the couch and lit a smoke. There was somthing different about the way Dally looked today, he was hiding somthing I didnt know what it was but I was gonna find out.
The night was the just like work was, the same as yesterday. I was playing cards with Steve like we always do. I was, well not cheating I just happened to have a card in my shoe. Steve caught me.
"HEY!" he exclaimed.
"What?" I questioned him with a sly smile.
"I know you were cheating!" Steve yelled at me angerly.
I laughed and said "prove it!"
We began to arm wrestle but I wasn't really paying attention. I was trying to think of ways to tell the gang about my girl. They didn't know I had been seeing anyone. We had been dating for about two months and it was about time she met the gang. I wasn't sure how they would take it. Suddenly I was snapped back in to reality when Steve slammed my hand on to the table.
I looked up to see Steve with a smug look on his face. I angrily put my arm up in the air indicating a rematch. He took my hand with a way too cocky look on his face and we began to arm wrestle again. This time actually focusing on the fight I slammed Steve's hand on the table and just said one word "HA".
That's when I decided to tell the gang about my girl. I stood up and not realizing how fast I was talking and quickly said " hey guys I have been seeing this girl and I really like her and have decided to bring her over here tomorrow night to meet all y'all". The gang looked at me then Dallas stood up and made an announcement too.
Dally's P.O.V.
" I got to go babe." I said just about to leave her house.
"Where do you have to go?" she said to me in a pleading tone.
"I gotta go meet the gang" I replied.
" Can I come? I really want to meet them! I mean you are ALWAYS talking about them!" she asked
"Not yet babe, we talked about this." I said for the tenth time.
"Okay." she said reluctantly.
I left her house and went over to the Curtis' house. I knew the whole gang would be there they almost always were. When I walked in everyone was there. I sat on the arm of the couch next to Ponyboy and lit a cancer stick. The night went on as it usually does.
Steve and Soda were playing cards, Soda mysteriously happened to have a card in his shoe. He said he didn't know how it got there but we all know he put it there. Steve caught him and they started to arm wrestle. Testing each others strength. Steve won then Soda won. The night was the same as every other night in the Curtis house.
Until Soda said " hey guys I have been seeing this girl and I really like her and have decided to bring her over here tomorrow night to meet all y'all" he finished in such a rush I could barely understand him. "Yeah, I've been seeing a gorgeous broad my self and I guess I can bring her over here to meet you guys tomorrow too." I said and the boys looked shocked for a minute then snapped out of it.
Darry finally said "sounds good guys."
He started dinner and asked if anyone was staying but I passed I had to go see my girl and tell her the news.
"Hey guess what," I said as I arrived at her house.
"What?" she asked looking curious
"Your gonna meet the gang tomorrow!" I revealed.
" Really!" she squealed
I nodded with a half smile on my face and she jumped on me hugging me tight. I put her down and told her I would come back tomorrow to pick her up. She nodded still vibrantly smiling and went inside.
