Lucy's P.O.V
After the little scene at the corner store I wasn't really in the mood for hanging out so I asked Dally to walk me home. My parents went out of town so I asked him if he wanted to spend the night. He said yes. I threw a couple of frozen dinners in the oven for us and while they were cooking I showed him around my house. We weren't rich but we weren't poor either we were middle class. We lived in a small little house that had three floors. The main floor was only three rooms. The living room, a small bathroom that only had a toilet and a sink in it and the kitchen/dining room. The upper floor had three rooms as well. Two bedrooms and a bathroom. The basement was only one room though. We used it mainly for storage.
"Well thanks for dinner babe" Dallas said after we had finished eating.
"Anytime time doll" I said with a wink."I really don't want you to be in that rumble"
"Why not?' He questioned.
"I just don't want you to get hurt that's all," I paused "I don't wanna lose you Dallas"
"You aren't gonna lose me." He said reassuringly. I leaned back resting my head on his chest. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed the top of my head then I slowly drifted off to sleep.
I was in a a schoolyard. It was a very sunny day and pretty hot out. There were children all around me. Why was I in an elementary schoolyard? I just graduated from high school. So what was I doing...
"Mommy, Mommy! I missed you!" A little girl said running up to me interrupting my thoughts.
"I missed you too sweetie! How was your first day of grade one?" I said back. She must have been my daughter. I had a Daughter?
"It was awesome! I made lots of new friends!" She answered excitedly. "Where's daddy?"
"He's waiting in the car." I told her with a smile.
"Oh ya I made you something!" She continued. She was digging through her bag then pulled out a macaroni necklace.
"I love it!" I said as she put it around my neck "Thank you honey"
We then turned and walked towards the car. As we approached it I was wondering who would be waiting. When we got there I looked through the window and he was facing the other way. I was getting into the car and find out who my mystery man was....
Just then I was awakened by a loud BANG! BANG! BANG!
I got up and untangled myself from Dally's arms to answer the door. I opened the door to see Sodapop and Sadie standing there. They both had worried expressions on their faces. This made me worry. Dally finally dragged himself off the couch and came up behind me to see who was at the door.
Sodapop's P.O.V.
"A RUMBLE SERIOUSLY!" Sadie screamed at me once we were alone in my bedroom "DO YOU KNOW HOW DANGEROUS THAT CAN BE?"
"Sadie calm down." I said. BIG mistake.
"CALM DOWN. YOU WANT ME TO CALM DOWN. I WILL NOT CALM DOWN! YOU JUST AGREED TO A HUGE FIGHT! YOU COULD GET SERIOUSLY HURT!" She continued to yell.
"Don't worry I won't get hurt. I have done this before." I said trying to successfully calm her down.
"I know it's just, I'm scared for you." She said hugging me. Then Darry burst into the bedroom.
"Guys get out here Johnny and Ponyboy got jumped they are extremely hurt!" He said and we bolted past him and into the living room.
"What happened?" I demanded.
"We got jumped by a couple of Socs on our way home from the park." Ponyboy said trying to sit up.
"Don't move. Just stay where you are." Sadie instructed while checking out his wounds. Darry was doing the same for Johnny.
"I'm gonna go get Dally and Lucy." I said they should be here or at least know.
"I'll come with you." Sadie said standing up and grabbing her jacket.
First we went to Bucks place to see if Dally was there. Surprisingly he wasn't. I didn't know where else to look for him so we decided to go to Lucy's place maybe she would know where he was, I mean she is the one dating him. I didn't know exactly where she lived but Sadie said that she knew. So we went to her house and knocked on the door several times. When she finally answered the door she seemed as if she had just woken up. Her expression quickly changed from dazed to alert and worried. I was about to ask if she knew where Dallas was when he walked up behind her.
"Guys you gotta come over to the house Johnny and Ponyboy got jumped by some Socs" I said in a tone of urgency.
"Okay, Dal pass me my car keys we will drive behind you." Lucy said and with that we were back in Darry's truck driving back to the house with Lucy and Dally close behind.
We got back to the house a few minutes before Lucy and Dally. Sadie went right back to the couch where Pony and Johnny were. She began talking to Darry about their injuries. I decided to call Steve and tell him to get over here. After I got off the phone and went back into the living room Dally and Lucy walked in and Lucy gasped, covering her mouth with her hand.
"Ohmygoodness!" she said. "What the hell happened to you guys"
"We got beat up by a bunch of Socs." Johnny explained this time instead of Ponyboy.
"Looks like you two won't be in this rumble, sorry guys" Darry told them.
"What! Why not?" They both said at the same time.
"Ponyboy you have a broken rib. And Johnny you have a mild concussion and a broken nose." Darry said.
"And you both have some pretty nasty cuts and bruises" Sadie said.They didn't looked to pleased. Pony looked at her about to argue but she gave him one of stern looks saying 'don't even try you won't win' looks that only girls can make and pull off, and he piped down. Then Steve walked in.
