Sadie's P.O.V.
Ponyboy and Johnny looked really upset about the rumble. Then Steve walked in. At first he was confused. Soda didn't tell him what happened on the phone so when he got there we had to explain everything that happened. While the guys were explaining that Pony and Johnny got jumped Lucy leaned over to whisper something in my ear "hey we should fill in for them in the rumble" She said. I nodded my head and when they were done talking I spoke up.
"What are we gonna do about this rumble?" Steve questioned.
"We'll be in the rumble" Lucy and I said in unison.
"HELL NO!" Dally and Soda replied back. Also in unison.
"Why not we're girls not pansies!" I argued. Now I was getting mad.
"You're the one who said it was dangerous!" Soda said."You said and I quote 'you could get seriously hurt!'"
"I know what I said but you said and I quote 'Don't worry I won't get hurt I have done this before.'" I pointed out.
"Ya I've done this before!" He said.
"Well so have I." Okay now I was really getting mad.
"Ooooh I think we are witnessing their first fight!" Steve squealed in excitement. I glared at him.
"Lucy you are not fighting in this rumble and that's that!" Dally stated.
"You are not the boss of me! I have a say in this too!" Lucy told him.
"Well too bad you are not I repeat NOT going to be in this fight and that is final!" Dally said.
"Neither are you Sadie!" Soda told me.
I was REALLY angry at him right now. So I stomped out of the living room and into the boys bedroom. I needed to cool off and that wasn't going to happen out there.
Sodapop's P.O.V.
Great she's mad. This isn't looking too good for me at the moment.But she can't fight in the rumble. She said it her self they can be extremely dangerous. I am not going to lose her! I better go talk to her.
"I better go talk to her. She seems pretty upset." I told the gang. They made some jokes about me being all concerned but I didn't care.
I walked in to my bedroom and she was sitting on my bed with her back to me. "What do you want?" She asked hearing me enter the room.
"I came to see if you were okay" I told her.
She turned around "Why are you so against me being in the rumble? You know I can fight" She paused then continued before I could say anything "That's how we met remember? I was beating a couple Socs senseless and you thought I needed help so you came over and we kicked their butts together." A small tear slipped from her eye.
"I know." Was all I could manage. That was one of the reasons I loved her so much. She was so strong."It's just I need you."
"What do you mean?" She asked softly
"I love you Sadie." She looked at me shocked. I've been wanting to tell her that for a really long time and now I have I'm scared she won't love me back.
"I-I love you too, Sodapop" She said. I just smiled like an idiot. She leaned towards me and gently kissed my lips. I kissed her back. We just sat there for a while until Ponyboy came in.
"Umm guys" He said sounding a little bit uncomfortable.
Finally separating Sadie said goodnight and got up to go get ready for bed. It was pretty late and everyone was tired. I could tell Ponyboy was so I got off the bed to get ready too and Pony did the same moving from the door to his dresser.
"I thought you two were in a fight?" Pony asked once we were finally in bed.
"I told her I loved her" I admitted.
"Do you?" Ponyboy asked.
"Yeah" was all I could say.
