Lucy’s P.O.V.
I woke up and Dally wasn’t next to me. Then I ran to the bathroom. I shut the door and fell to the floor. I threw up what the little I ate last night. When I was finished I flushed the toilet then washed my face and brushed my teeth. Where the hell is Dally? I thought. I opened the bathroom door and there was Dally.
“Hey Dal you were up early this morn-what are you wearing?” I said.
He turned around. He was wearing a sorta dressy shirt and his best jeans. He looked ADORABLE! “Come here.” He said and led me to the back yard.
There were rose pedals arranged in the shape of a heart in the grass. What was he up too? We stopped in front of it and he dropped my hand. Then went into the heart. He got down on one knee. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small box.
“Dallas what are you doing?” I asked him.
“Lucy when I first met you I thought you were gonna be like every other girl in the town. But then I got to know you. You’re not anything like the rest of the girls in town. You are better. You are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. I love you to the end of the world and back. So will you Lucy Davids,” He paused then continued “will you marry me?”
OH MY GOD! I thought. Was he really doing this? I’ve heard of this kind of thing happening before but I never expected it to happen to me. I never in my wildest dreams would have guessed something like this from Dallas Winston. Of all people. He couldn’t have come up with this all on his own. Could he have?
“Well?” Dally said. Oh ya maybe I should answer.
The way I felt words couldn’t describe. “Y-yes” I stopped for a second “Yes Dally I will marry you!” I put out my hand and he slipped the ring on my finger.
This moment couldn’t get any better. He hugged me and picked me up and twirled me around. I don’t think I could be happier. Then when he put me down I felt the too familiar shooting pain in my stomach. It was terrible. I hunched over in pain. My face was burning and I felt sweat pouring down my face. I screamed out and felt Dally trying to steady me.
“Babe you okay?” He sounded concerned as he said this.
I stood up shakily. “Ya I’m fine” I breathing was uneasy but it was slowly returning to normal.
I smiled at him “How ‘bout I go get dressed then we can go over to the Curtis’ and tell the gang?” He smirked and nodded.
I ran upstairs and into our bedroom. Before I reached our door I looked into the room that would soon be the nursery. It was painted pink when we bought the house so we didn’t have to paint it. We still needed to get a crib, a dresser and well everything else but it was a start. Was this really happening to me? Was I really having a baby? Was I really engaged?” All these questions bombarded my mind.
