"The villain who took you wants to speak with me. Can you believe that? Why on Earth would he want to speak with me?" Shoto paced back and forth in Izuku's room.

"Are you going to?" Izuku watched Shoto on his bed.

"I don't know. Every time I think about it, I just want to punch his stupid face."

"If it makes you feel any better, he's probably the main reason Shigaraki didn't disintegrate me."

"He's also the reason you were taken in the first place." Shoto stopped pacing to look at Izuku. He did that a lot. He'd just stop doing something to stare at Izuku like he's afraid he'll just disappear again.

"I think I could have survived Shigaraki. One touch would kill me, but the rest of the league probably wouldn't allow a child to be killed. Plus, I took down Muscular, so Shigaraki shouldn't be too difficult." Unless he used another nomu, but Izuku didn't think Shoto should hear that.

"It doesn't matter that you could have survived it, you shouldn't have been placed in that situation to begin with. What if they were ok with killing you?" Izuku went to speak, but Shoto cut him off. "I know you're fine. That your experience with them wasn't nearly as bad as anyone might think. That you didn't like being away from us, but they were really nice so it wasn't all bad. I'm happy for you, but what about us?"

"Us?"

"Us. The ones who care about you. We were so worried about you and Bakugo. I kept thinking about what you were going through. I kept imagining the worst. It tore me up, not knowing if you were even alive. What would I do without you, Izuku? How would I survive?" Damn did that feel like a punch to the gut and Shoto's tears feel like a needle driving it's way into his heart.

Did Izuku know he was loved? Yes, of course he did. It's not like he ever forgot about it, he just never really thought about it. The thought of someone worrying for him because he was taken to who knows where, seemed crazy, yet obvious. Thinking about it, of course they would worry about him. He'd worry about them if their roles were reversed, and that scared him.

"Shoto," Izuku stood from the bed and placed a hand on Shoto's chest and the other on his cheek, wiping away the tears. "I can't promise I will be 100% safe, but I can promise that I will try my hardest not to leave you. I want to be with you for as long as I can, and I'm sure I won't die any time soon, but, as heroes, our survival wont be guaranteed. I don't want to worry you ever again, but if something happens to me, promise me you won't give up. Promise me you'll still be a hero."

"Only if you do the same." Shoto took Izuku's hands into his own.

"I promise."

"Then I promise, too." Their kiss was slow. There was nothing behind that kiss other than love. Two boys, madly in love, kissing each other. Nothing else except for the parent that entered the room mid kiss. Wait what?

Shota coughed loudly and the boys looked at him with panic. "Calm down, you're not in trouble. I can't punish you for kissing your boyfriend, even if I could have waited a long time before seeing that, but at least there's no hickeys." Shota muttered something about his baby boy suddenly kissing people.

"What are you doing in here, Dad?" Izuku looked a bit flustered and Shoto hid behind Izuku despite being taller.

"It got suspiciously quiet in here so I checked it out for myself. Also, dinner is ready. Feel free to stay, Todoroki." Shota left before either of them could respond. Izuku shook his head. He really didn't need that.

"If you want my opinion, I think you should speak to Dabi. I can't really say anything, but I think you'll want to. I can go with you if it'll make you feel any better." Izuku turned to Shoto.
