The last thing Sir would expect to see barging into his office, is a little girl with a determined face. "Detective, I'll have to call you back."

"Is something wrong?" Sir looked at the girl, trying to figure out why she was so upset. Especially since she seemed to be angry at him.

"I lived with the Yakuza." Well, that did answer his question, there was so many things wrong with that.

1. How did she escape?

2. She looked really proud of herself for delivering that line.

3. She looked like she had one more thing to say, but needed him to respond first.

"What do you mean you lived with the Yakuza?"

"I won't say anything else without the Pro hero Eraserhead." The girl smiled proudly.

"What's your name?" The girl frowned.

"I'm not answering anything until Eraserhead is here."

"Why do you need Eraserhead?" The girl was full on glaring now. "Right, not without Eraserhead." Sir dragged a hand down his exhausted face as he dialed a number on his phone.

"Detective, you said you were with Eraserhead."

———

Shota was trying not to get his hopes up. They had called Sir because he was on the Yakuza case, and the guy who blew up Izuku had gotten into some nasty business with the Yakuza. They didn't have much to go on, so the phone call wasn't looking positive. Then, they get called back saying a little girl is in his office claiming to have lived with the Yakuza, but won't give any further details unless Shota is there. She won't even say why.

Shota knew it was a stretch, but most kids don't know about him, so she must have been told about him. Maybe that person was also the person who's been living with him for 11 years.

"I feel like an idiot. I know better than to get my hopes up, but I can't help but think he might be alive. I want him to be alive, but I'm terrified of it too. What are they doing to him?" Shota just hoped it was like the league of villains. Maybe he's just eating cake and playing uno.

"I've been patient with you. I've tried to treat you well, but you just keep resisting. You even lost me an important ingredient and somehow managed to destroy all of my work. All her blood samples and crates full of the cure, gone. Is there any reason I should even keep you alive?" Izuku was dumb enough to look smug.

"Eri may be gone, but his blood might be able to be of use." The doctor who's been taking their blood said. "Also, there are still so many things yet to be tested about your quirk and their effects on people. He could be the perfect test subject."

"You should have minded your own business and let us continue with our work."

"Whatever you throw at me, will be worth it as long as she is safe from you and your experiments."

"I hate people like you." Overhaul pressed all five fingers to Izuku's face. Izuku screamed.

———

Eri explained everything she could about Overhaul and what he was doing. She didn't know a lot, but she knew enough. She even knew the general idea of where the base was, but in order to be precise, she'd have to be there. Everyone shut that down immediately and she didn't argue. Izuku told her not to go anywhere near that place ever again, so she won't.

On one hand. He was alive. Shota's baby boy, don't tell anyone he even thought baby boy, was alive. On the other hand, he was living with the yakuza. Sometimes Shota wished he was just an ordinary parent that hadn't seen true horrors of the underground. Then maybe his mind wouldn't be going crazy wondering what was happening to his son.
