Anniversary

Minho POV pt. 1

I woke up with a heavy heartbreaking feeling in my heart. Today was our 1st anniversary, and it meant it was time for us to have our marriage annuled. That was our deal. Our marriage had only been arranged by our parents for business purposes but they gave us freedom to break free from it after a year, and that was today. I prayed that this day would never come because I knew she would return to newt, he was the man she truly loved. I tried my best to not fall in love with her but my heart won over my brain. She laid in bed next to me, looking like an angel. I kissed her forehead and a tear escaped from the corner of my eye. I stormed out the room before she could even wake up

Y/N POV

I felt him kiss my forehead, I felt his teardrop roll land on my cheeks, I felt his restrained sobs, I felt his heart breaking, I heard him sigh, I heard him leave the room. I burst out crying when he left but I kept it muffled through my pillow. I was torn. Newt had been so excited yesterday he almost couldn't wait. I feel so guilty, I betrayed him by falling for minho. The guy wasn't hard to love, he was sweet and understanding, he had a great sense of humor. I couldn't bear to break either guy's heart but I had to choose. I pulled myself together and went downstairs. I found him in the kitchen wearing a smile and holding a plate with 3 pieces of pancakes on it as he said " good morning! Breakfast is ready " then I saw our annulment papers on the table.

Y/N POV

I felt a huge lump in my throat as I approached him, he was still smiling but tears were forming in his eyes. "Happy independence day y/n" he said in a shaky voice. I slowly closed the gap between us and he put the pancakes away as I wrapped my arms around his waist, I let myself cry. " why are you crying? Shouldn't you be happy? You can finally be with newt. You can continue planning that grand wedding with him, continue your plans that was ruined by our marriage " his voice cracked and I could feel him trying to hold back his tears. " But I love you minho " I said tightening my embrace, he tried to remove my arms around him but I didnt let him. " you're just confused, you're just lost in this huge lie, our marriage is a fake, newt is the one you truly love " he said firmly. Then the door opened and newt came in, he pulled you away from minho and said " think straight y/n, WE'RE REAL, your relationship with minho is only a lie " . I turned to look at minho, he was finally crying. " remember all our plans?! Y/N you can't bail on me now, we're finally free! " newt's voice sounded threatened
