Title: stranger

He sat on the grass underneath a big tree, strumming his guitar and singing Joseph Vincent's ' if you stay' . He wore a light blue polo shirt and a white shirt underneath, paired with beige cargo pants. If he wasn't asian, I'd think he was the greek god Apollo. I had been staring at him for quite some time, but I didnt mean to! He just caught my attention while I was walking my dog.

" you know, you should probably sit down next to me if you dont want your feet to hurt " he said as he put his guitar down.

I felt myself blush " oh, uhm.. I was just about to go actually. S-sorry, I didnt mean to invade your privacy " I said

" No, it's okay. I could use some company " he smiled and his eyes disappeared, he looked so cute!

I hesitated for a minute but decided to go for it. I sat infront of him and so did my dog. Then he played another song " I knew I loved you by savage garden " . As he sang, he looked at me in the eye, staring right into my soul, sneaking it's way into my heart. He smiled at me and I couldn't stop myself from singing along. We sang songs all afternoon, taking quick breaks to rub my dog's belly, when night came we laid on the grass and star gazed, laughed at corny jokes. As the night went deeper, we talked about more serious things like ' what is the meaning of life? ' and stuff like that.

Weird thing though was we talked about anything under the moon, anything but stuff about ourselves. We didnt even know each other's names and yet we didn't feel the need to, it felt like we had known each other for so long, we didnt feel the need to feel scared. We shared secrets and it came out naturally. It was near midnight when my stomach grumbled and so did his, we caught each other's eyes and laughed. Then we went downtown to have barbecue. As we ate we continued to have fun conversations. Then he suddenly became quiet and looked at me smiling.

" would you like to hang out with me again sometime? " he asked

" uh, yeah! Sure! I'd love to " I replied

" thanks, I had a great day " he said with a sincere smile and stood up " see you soon " then he left. I didnt know why but I was so smitten by that look in his eyes, his smile , I didnt even have the chance to stop him from leaving. He didn't even tell me when we were gonna meet again, or where we'll meet, he didnt even tell me his name. I stood up to chase him but stopped when I remembered something. He left me his guitar, and it was then that I discovered there was something written inside it - 민호 ( minho ) . Suddenly, I felt a tug on my heart, I felt something change inside me, like I've been hit with cupid's arrow. Then I remembered something else — He took my dog! I didnt know if I should get mad or laugh, he dognapped my dog and exchanged it with his guitar!?

I waited for a good amount of days to see him again. I knew we would meet again, he had made it clear that we were going to meet again. I missed my dog too. Teresa and I were having coffee at starbucks when I thought I saw him come out of a vintage shop with my dog, I stood up to chase them but I lost sight of him.

" hey, what's the matter? " teresa asked

" I think I saw him " I replied

" where? " " across the street but I lost sight of him " " omg y/n! I remember something! "

" you put your contact number on your dog's dogtag didn't you? " " yeah "

" it means he CAN contact you! But.. maybe " teresa's eyebrows met and so did mine, then she came to a conclusion

" maybe the reason why he hasn't contacted you yet is because he has a certain date in mind! I heard from newt that there was gonna be a rose festival this weekend! Eeek! I think that's it! " " OMG! Teresa you're a genius! "

" but wait, have you figured out what those korean characters mean? "

" yeah, I looked it up on the internet it means MinHo, I think that's his name " By then, I had the biggest smile on my face, my cheeks even hurt from smiling too much. That night I recieved a text from an unknown number.

[ meet me tomorrow in the streets, during the festival, wear white, cause everyone else will be wearing red ]

He didn't put his name but I knew it was him. I went to sleep smiling and woke up still smiling. I'd never felt this excited in my whole life. I rushed teresa to go with me.

When we were there everyone else stared at me. He was right, everyone wore red, even Teresa and Thomas, and I was wearing white tube dress. We looked for him everywhere but we couldn't find him. Then the parade started and it started raining roses, the people on the floats were doing it of course, and that's when I saw him. The only rose amongs't the dozen thorns, wearing all white and smiling at me. I walked over to him and we met at the center of the streets. He gave me a warm hug and said " come " then he dragged me to the park where we first met, there was a white horse waiting for us.

" what's that on his forehead?" I pointed to the horse

" I put a horn on his forehead to make him look like a unicorn " he smiled widely.

He helped me up and we rode on the horse to somewhere I didn't know. Then we arrived to a sort of flower garden and there was a gazebo in the middle where my dog was waiting for me. I ran up to hug him.

" like it? " minho asked

" it's perfect " I replied with a smile

Out of nowhere, music starts playing and he holds out his hand, I took it and we danced to the beautiful instrumental. I never thought it was possible to feel this happy, I felt like my heart was going to explode from too much happiness.

" thank you " I said as we danced

" for what? "

" for all this, for not rushing things, for making me feel special "" when I was young, my mom had me promise her that when I met the girl I wanted to spend the rest of my life with, I would do everything in my power to make her feel special, that I would treat her like a queen. She told me there was a right time for everything " he said as he turned me around.

I felt my cheeks burning, I didnt know what to say.

" I really believe that you're the one who's destined for me, we've only met twice but I feel likeI've known you for so long. I want to spend forever with you but I dont wanna rush you into things, if you agree to be my girl, we can take things slowly "

I smiled and said " I think I'd like that "

He pulled away and smiled " really?!"

I laughed and said " yes "

Then he gave me a really big hug and kissed me gently then hugged me again. I dont know what I did to deserve this kind of happiness but I loved every single second of that day. " Babe? Are you telling people about our lovestory again? " - Minho

" they asked for it! " - y/n

" well come over here, it's your turn to bathe this little shank " - Minho

" how many times do I have to tell you not to call our baby a shank! " - y/n
