"Aren't you dragging your wedding for too long?"

Josh almost choked on the wonton soup he was having. He quickly looked at Ken beside him who seems also surprised by what Veronica said.

Ken decided to answer the question. "T-things have been busy Aunt Veronica. Wedding is our least priority."

"But a wedding is part of business investment. I know you know that Suson." The older woman said as she place the spoon on her cherry lip, and carried a timid sip.

The three of them are located in the villa's diner area. On a rectangular oak table, two men are seated in front of Veronica, while Paulo is standing right next to the female omega. His hands were placed on his back and posture standing erect.

"I can dismiss the wedding. What I can't understand is why you two haven't mated."

All the men at the table widened their eyes. Their expressions are obvious on their faces. Josh immediately eyed his assistant who in return shook his head in innocence.

"I didn't tell her" That was Paulo's expression is giving. Ken on the other hand could only look down in nervousness, gripping the hem of his pants under the table. He knew this will happen, ever since he heard Veronica will be coming back to the country. But experiencing it is nerve-wracking, he thought his heart will burst out the longer he'll stay in the diner.

Even Josh noticed Ken's distress by the sudden change of his scent. The scent of his coffee turned bitter. The omega knew Ken couldn't answer right away so he defended.

"That's not true mothe-"

"You know I hate lying"

The young omega shut his mouth. Like a defenseless puppy, he could only sit still and wait for his owner's instructions. What the son expected was a few scoldings and demand for a wedding but Veronica mentioned a name that even Ken made himself look up.

"Stellvester Ajero. Ring a bell?"

Ken heaved a deep breath upon hearing it. He wanted to answer back yet the older woman continued.

"Accepting him in your company is already shocking enough, but to have an affair-"

"We're NOT having an affair." The alpha cut her in annoyance, but with one sting eye from her made himself regret his tone. His annoyed face softened and with a timid tone, he repeated.

"We're not having an affair."

"If that's what you believe. Paulo, show the paper."

The delta could only nod and pulled something from his suit's inner pocket. In his hand, he revealed a folded paper and placed it on the table near Veronica.

The woman then pushed it to the center for the two to see.

Josh took the initiative to open the paper. As he read the title alone, he found his throat became dry. Ken on the other hand was interested and leaned closer to take a look. His face turned stunned after seeing the content.

It was the contract he made for Stell.

"How did it happen?" The omega thought in bewilderment. He knew he burned it beforehand. He instructed Paulo-

He instructed Paulo. (Reference to Chapter 4)

The older man glanced at Paulo in anger who in return stared at him with eyes full of numbness. The delta never burned it from the start.
