It was already late afternoon and Mariah couldn't wait for her job to finish. She's just an intern at this place but her seniors are already exhausting her.

Mariah who finally sat on her swivel chair heaved a deep sigh. But before she could process anything, her mentor called her.

"Ms. Narvato?"

The young omega straightens her back. "Yes?!"

"Can you order us some coffee at the café on the ground floor? I'll have a Spanish latte, James will have the Barista's choice, and Caramel frappe for Annalyn."

Mariah forced a smile at what she heard. "Spanish latte, Barista's choice, and caramel frappe right? Will do it right away miss!"

The moment the omega left the office, her smile turned into a frown. She gritted her teeth in annoyance as she steps into the elevator.

"Those coffee lovers, it's already past lunch why do they keep ordering me to buy stuff at the café?"

As the elevator closes its doors, Mariah scanned the buttons. Though instead of the ground floor, she decided to press the top floor. From what she heard, that's where the CEO's office is located. It wouldn't hurt to check the layout of the floor. She hasn't visited its surface yet anyway.

Applying for a job was easy enough for Mariah. With some little connections from her father and Yani, she secured a good spot in marketing. Though she didn't expect to do heavy labor as a newbie. It hinders her true motive in the establishment.

Quickly she sprints her legs the moment the doors opened. She is introduced to the active base, too many are concentrated on their own problems that none of the employees noticed her presence. The floor was mostly dominated by Alphas and Mariah is somehow relieved that no one is taking a look at her. It gave her an advantage to study the surroundings.

The omega has been having a hard time getting some rumors starting from the past years. It feels like they are being limited to talking badly about the company. She also couldn't read some documents freely with her mentor spying on her every move. Thankfully she can only escape their office whenever the seniors order her around.

She halted after noticing that one of the conference rooms on the floor opened. She waited for the personnel to leave before walking past them. Coincidentally, she saw Santos' walking by the last. They were already familiar faces after seeing them at the Superior Son's foundation anniversary. She laid her eyes on both of them, thinking they should follow them and maybe can get some information. But behind Josh, she noticed a new face.

His face is blank as he walks attentively. Mariah tilted her head in curiosity, she never saw the man in Yani's background check yet. Probably a low profile.

When it was less crowded, the woman sneakily ambled her heels, fast enough to tag behind the slender man but not close enough to be caught.

As the three turned right off the building's hallway, Mariah stopped. Thinking she'll be too suspicious if she followed along further. She hid behind a wall, spying on them. From her location, she could still see the three. She saw the unfamiliar man open a door on the end side of the hallway and waited for Veronica and Josh to enter inside.

"A secretary or assistant perhaps?" She muttered under her breath. Mariah couldn't help but stare at the man, wanting to recall his face in case she see him again by chance. Only to end up being startled when that tall man skims his eyes in her direction. As if he can see her.

Did he see me? That's... Impossible right? I'm too far.
