"Ken?"

Stell couldn't believe it. He thought for a second if he was mistaken but the more he stares at him the more he was convinced that this man is indeed the alpha.

The rain is still flowing hard under the bus shed they're standing on. No sight of any passerby. Just them with the splattering noise of raindrops.

Baffled, Stell raised his voice. "What are you doing here?" The beta looked around and caught Ken's car parked not far away from the convenience store he just went.

He couldn't help but overthink, if how long the alpha has been parked at the store. Is it by chance? Or did the man really wait for him?

Those questions were quickly answered.

"I knew it. You've been meeting with Veronica." Ken exclaimed a hint of anger in his tone. It scared Stell a little, he never saw Ken this angry. But the older wouldn't let himself lose.

"W-why does it matter to you, sir? Meeting her is out of my personal decision-" Stell was abruptly cut off when the latter held both of his shoulders, gripping them.

"Stop meeting her for god's sake! You don't know what you're doing!" Ken shouted, and the beta took offense. He couldn't help but match his anger and shouted back.

"YES, I know what I am doing. Why would I follow your order? I won't trust a man that's been stalking me regarding my personal affairs."

"What? No. I was about to visit you-"

"Stop. I don't want to hear any more of this." Stell pulled the younger's arms away from his shoulders. Quickly, he turned his back and strode outside the bus shed, letting himself be poured by the rain.

Ken who quickly got worried ran to follow him. He pulled the older's arm to stop him in his tracks. Both are now on the sidewalk.

Stell sighed when he felt his hand. "Please go home, sir. I'm too tired for an argument."

Though that comment made Ken tighten his hand around his wrist.

"No. We need to talk now."

The beta grumbled and hesitantly glimpsed his boss. He couldn't see him clearly, with his eyes being blocked by the heavy downpour. He could only hear the younger man repeating his words. "Stop meeting Veronica."

The older winced. "That again. Why-"

"This is for your own good."

Stell frowned. "Stop spouting nonsense."

Ken sighed in annoyance. His patience is thinning out "You don't understand. But if you could just listen-"

"Look, if you're mad I'm hanging out with your 'mother-in-law'. I don't care. Yes you're my boss but this doesn't care about you"

"It does." Ken replied with a hard tone. He followed his answer. "I am worried about you. Please, can you just-"

"No. I won't-"

"JUST FUCKING LISTEN."

Both were surprised. Stell never heard Ken shout at him full of anger. And Ken didn't mean to shout his frustrations. The alpha's eyes softened in regret. He didn't mean it. He would never tolerate this behavior toward Stell.

"I'm sorry-"

"Go home, Ken." He calmly cut him. Stell turned his back again but the latter gripped his wrist tighter unable for the beta to move away. It quickly annoyed the former.
