"Did you forget Mother's flight is today? She's looking for you."

"I know." Ken answered on his phone. He stands in front of the elevator, tapping his left foot while waiting. He looks up at the small digital screen revealing where the elevator's floor is.

'Two floors to go' he thought as he looked up.

"You won't see her? She won't be back for a while."

Ken sighed. "You know my answer Josh."

Ken heard silence. He waited until the elevator doors opened. He entered inside. Just in time, his fiancé answered.

"I'll send your regards.." And the call ended.

The man turns off his phone. His tensed shoulder was finally relieved.

For now.

Ken rested his head by the wall. Despite her leaving, he still thinks that he's in shackles.

He wants to go home. Yet home isn't home anymore. Nothing is home anymore. Nothing feels safe. As long as she exists. There's no home.

He thought everything he worked for, escaping from Japan to start anew would free him. A new environment would free him. But 'she' would always find a way. An excuse to torment him.

Her leaving the country won't solve everything. He just wants to give up. It's no use to tell. If he tells everyone, who would believe him? If he tells, would this unexplainable terror to the world he interact would be gone? He doesn't think so. If he tells, everyone he knew would be affected. Josh, his parents.... Even Mylene.

"Should I die?" He muttered looking up at the ceiling.

Should he? Lately, nothing seems to concern him anymore. Work is the only excuse to let himself be distracted. But every time he sleeps, it scares him. To dose off and suddenly feel like drowning. His breath is unable to catch up. It's overwhelming. With every breath his throat more narrow, his brain too full to comprehend what was happening to him. It felt like noises of scribbles in his thoughts. Hearing those silent noises scratching his ears. Panic would spread all over his body. Then a question would pop up in his thoughts.

'Am I going to die?' He questions

'I'm gonna die" He panics

"I should die." He said again, this time determined.

His name would be forgotten then, his company would eventually survive with someone taking over his position. Josh will probably grieve the most. But he knows he's a strong man. Paulo would never leave his side anyway. And Mylene.... He thinks that hiring her son is enough. They're financially stable now. He thinks it's enough of an apology. He already had his fun. Probably it's for the better.

Ken closed his eyes, picturing his funeral, which he thought people would probably visit. Who he thought would cry on his lifeless body or the people who would be glad he's gone.

The elevator door opened, and an employee walked in. Quickly the alpha straightened his back. He stares at the man inches taller than him who stands next to him. Seeing that the man didn't greet him made him assume he was new.
