Quirks, What once was a strange phenomena that plagued the world, sent it to chaos where humanity faced itself, family against family and friends against friends, the dark ages of earth.
Yet in today's time, it is but a normal thing in our society, in fact a baby being born without one is quite the oddity, so much so that only 20% of the world's population doesn't have one, most of them being of old generations where quirks were not as common.
Peace was kept in these times by heroes, government agents of sorts, a workforce akin the police but of higher status that kept order through the use of their quirks, astley were the only ones permitted to use them in public.
But that doesn't mean chaos didn't exist, for at the opposite end of heroes, there lies villains, people that use their quirks to break the law for their own personal gain.
Indeed, today's society is built upon quirks, some might say they are the most important part of it, some would even go as far as saying that your life isn't worth it if you didn't have a strong quirk.
But how would one go about defunding what a strong quirk is?
Is it a quirk that is flashy and instantly alerts everyone towards with its appeal and firepower?
Or is one that has an infinite potential to grow?
Is it a quirk that is so unique that it might not even have a similar holder in the vast population of humanity?
Or is it a one that while simple in nature, has such a great output it puts you at the top?
Whatever it might be to you or everyone else, generally and in most cases having a quirk is better than not.
And this is the story of Midoriya Izuku, a boy fortunately born with a quirk regarded as "strong" and his journey to becoming a hero and learning his limits.

Shuffling in bed can be heard, if you look closely in the dark room lit ever so slightly by the sunlight that entered from around the curtains, you'll find a young boy.
A young boy that kicked his blanket off and keeps moving in his bed, a slight annoyance on his freckled face.
The boy had fluffy green hair and a somewhat plain look onto his face, yet still retained a childlike innocence, this young boy was one Midoriya Izuku.
He was awake for a few hours now, since 3 AM or so in fact.
The boy slightly opened his eyes to look at his All Might themed alarm clock to find its 7 AM.
"Mom will not be happy if she knew about this"
Quite, a child as young as he is, 4 of age not having a full rest is not good, and no self respecting parent such as his mom would let this incident slide off without them making sure it never happens again.
But now it happened, so the best thing he could do for his situation is to get up on time and pretend that this night has passed like all the others before to not worry his mom.
he kept staring at the clock, shuffling in place still until it rang out.
"TIME TO WAKE UP YOUNG BOY! TIME TO WAKE UP YOUNG BOY!"
He smiled softly at his alarm clock, choosing one that had the voice of his idol made him quite happy.
He woke up from his bed and started going about his day like he usually does, brushing his teeth, wearing his kindergarten uniform, and going to have breakfast with his mother.
Nothing peculiar was to be noted about today, outside of being strangely energetic the whole day, he felt like a machine constantly working at 100% capacity without any issues.
And if anything, this helps as it doesn't show any hints of his sleepless night to his mom.
And so he went about his day.
His mom took him to kindergarten where he spent the day like usual again, trying to have fun with his childhood friend Bakugou and his other friends.
Everything was going as it usually did, him trying to play with everyone and Bakugou being better than everyone and calling Izuku Deku.
It's like a nickname for him now, and it bothered him at first but now, he got used to it, he's not going to tell new people he meets (if he ever took the initiative I'm life) to call him that.
But he won't deny it's a thing he's known as if it ever came up.
Was it because he didn't want to give this word power over him? Or was it that he genuinely didn't see it as an insult to his very being?
Probably a mix of both as he is yet a kid and not mature enough to think too deeply about it.
But, something quite curious happened today, as Bakugou or as Izuku nicknamed him Kacchan was going about, something happened to his hands.
Sparks started to crackle from his palm prompting everyone to look towards him, even the adults responsible were surprised and went to check on him.
Kacchan has awakened his quirk, and everyone immediately started praising it as a flashy quirk that is going to make him a great hero when he grows up.
"Wow, Katsuki-kun, you've awakened your quirk!"
"It looks so awesome!"
And Izuku included as well, he was more than happy that his childhood friend awakened his quirk and looked to be such an awesome one.
But in his excitement, he didn't notice something, something that was quickly pointed out by the kid next to him.
"O-Oi deku, y-your arm is on fire!" Shouted the kid while pointing at Izuku.
This caught the attention of other people, and soon everyone's eyes were on Izuku and his eyes on himself as well.
In his left arm, a fire was lit, it wasn't any normal fire, it was a green fire that slowly grew, but strangely enough, it didn't burn his clothes, neither was it hot or felt burning.
Izuku started to shift his focus towards his palm, and after a bit of concentration, the fire moved from his left forearm to his right palm.
"Wow!"
"Two people here awakened their quirks at the same time!"
"They both look so cool!"
And just like that, now the attention was on both young boys, in the middle of all the cheering, both kids had different thoughts circling their minds. One was in awe of his new powers, while the other had a weird feeling bubbling up inside of him.
Feelings that will take years for him to understand.
