The next morning Buck had already left. Leaving Eddie with a text saying he's going into work early. He felt like shit. Eddie pushed him away.

He got a text from one of the guys Eddie had been staying with, not EJ or Matt. His name was James. They didn't talk too much but he was one of the nicer guys.

'Hey man, sorry for how they treated you, if you want to hang out still, let me know'

'You bet' Eddie texted back

He spent the weekend mostly hanging out with James, getting to know him better. He was a lot nicer than the other guys. He told Eddie his brother was gay, He hated how the other boys would talk about LGBT people. Eddie needed a break from Buck, a chance to clear his head without him in the picture.

He slept in a hotel on Friday and Saturday night. Eddie had to think, he hung out with James during the days, or just drove his little car around. Spending time alone. Exploring the city alone. It wasn't as fun without Buck.

Eddie thought about what they could be. Him and Buck. Eddie decided that he wanted this. He wanted to make him his. He wanted to let himself fall in love, even if it was just for the summer. When Eddie went home he'd have to go back to being closeted straight Eddie. But for one summer. For two more months, he could love him and be himself.

Eddie had only checked on Buck once at the Bar. Saturday night he went by his work and told him he needed a few days. Cass just looked over and gave him a little smile. Like she knew how much Eddie was struggling with. Eddie saw Bucks smile fade and it hurt him to see. He just nodded telling Eddie, no matter what he was always welcome back. Turning away from him and heading into the back room of the bar.

Monday night. Now it's Monday night, Buck just got off work and was heading home. Eddie pulled himself together to go out. He got him some flowers... he knows it's cheesy... Then he went back to Bucks place. Working up all the courage to do this, to ask him out.

Eddie knocked.

Immediately adrenaline rushed through him.

"Ed's" Buck looked up and smiled

"Buck, I'm so sorry." He began

"No I'm sorry, Cass told me you saw me hook up with that guy-" he told Eddie.

"Shh, just shh" Eddie stopped him "I'm sorry I got jealous and mad when I had no right, I pushed you away because I couldn't be myself. Well screw it."

"Evan Buckley, Mr call me "Buck" man. Will you go on a real date with me? Will you be my boyfriend?"

"Yes, Eddie Diaz... yes I will"

Eddie hugged him and he pulled me into his place, kissing him passionately. Eddie wanted to tense up, but let himself relax into his lips. He took his flowers and smiled. Putting them in some water.

They laid back into his bed, happy again. He still never pressured Eddie to sleep with him, and Eddie appreciated that. He thinks Buck knew this took a lot, for Eddie to admit.

-June 15th 2010-

They pulled into the drive in movie theater dirt lot at 5:05 pm. The movie was starting at 6 and Buck wanted to make sure they got a good place to park, also wanting to walk around the place beforehand.
