The fact that Buck got to wake up next to Eddie. That he had a hookup and it didn't end in being left alone, that meant more to Buck than any other gesture could.
Eddie's phone ringing jolted him awake. He picked it up and sleepily answered it.
"Hello?" He muttered out.
Buck lightly giggled at his half asleep words. Eddie's eyes shot open wide and motioned him to be quiet.
"Mama, I can't" Buck heard as he walked away into the bathroom.
It was his mom on the phone. Buck really wished he could talk to his mom. As much as they helicopter parented Eddie, at least they cared. Eddie comes out, off the phone, looking sad.
"What's up?" Buck asks grabbing his hand.
"I have to fly back home for a few days. Five max" he sighed
"Is everything okay?"
"Yeah, my sister got into a car accident and she will pull through but, they want me home to see her and help her get home" he shakes his head. "They got me a plane ticket on Sunday... I'm so sorry"
Buck kissed his cheek, "don't be, family is always first! Your lucky to have them"
He nods, hearing the tinge of sadness in Bucks voice.

"I promise I'll be back!" Eddie told Buck holding his hands.
"I know you will, I have your car" he smirked
"And my heart," Eddie reminded him.
Eddie kissed him goodbye for the next five full days, he doesn't know how he's planning on surviving this week with his parents again. Eddie guesses he will have the hour and a half ish flight to become good, Christian, straight boy Eddie again. He waved to Buck, feeling tears forming in his eyes. He choked them back. He couldn't do this, not now. Eddie got though security and headed to his gate.
The whole flight Eddie just practiced calming breathing and tried listening to some music he had downloaded. He knew once he was forced around his family again he'd fall back into line.
Eddie's mom and dad met him at the airport.
"How was your flight mi hijo?" Dad asked
"It was nice. Very quick sir" Eddie said,
Standing a little straighter. It felt like they could see right through Eddie. That they knew he wasn't their perfect son. He followed them into the car as they took him home. The little yellow house Eddie grew up in. The same couch that his sisters would pillow fight with him on. The window Eddies baseball broke in 7th grade. He wanted to bring Buck here, he wanted to introduce him to everyone. Eddie wanted to make more amazing memories in this house. feeling his heart ache. He went up to his old room that they so conveniently have already changed into a basic guest room. Slumping down and checking his phone.
'I miss you already'
A smile crept on Eddie's face.
